Went in to work for about half a day, then worked on the shed. Started work on a wall mounted work bench. Some where in there I got our grocery shopping done then went to a speciality meat market. Picked up some beef sticks and some wine for my bride.

Rounded out the day with a little splitting and stacking.

More tear out and reframing on the mud room project today. Demo'd a brick wall and found a whole bunch more termite damage and questionable framing behind it. I'm not a carpenter but I know they did some stupid stuff.

For some reason they build a box out of 900 pieces of scrap lumber in the dead space above the stairwell. I was hoping it was full of cash but all I found was a dead mouse. I still have no idea what the box was for. My current theory was there was an annoying kid who wanted to frame and they told him to build something there to keep him occupied. Looks like a 5th grader built it.....No joke.

Well coffee going on and I am about to go do up some chains and make a new saw stand today. Nice tall piece of walnut that needs a base and a few saws to finish it off.

Yeah, what's funny is that getting out, and getting active really helped me.

I'm still coughing, a little now and then, but Mucinex is keeping me be as normal as I can.

I hydrated with a few Founder's beers while watching the UNC / Oregon game.

    That seems to have helped;)

Those look good. I zoomed in to read the recipe. Those are a little different than bread and butter pickles, right?

Gorgeous morning for a walk. We did a bit longer one and the foot seems to holding up fine. When I came out of the grocery store, it was lightly raining. I think it is going to be a sunny/rainy day today. yesterday I heard frogs in the early morning and skunk cabbage is definitely blooming in the swampy areas so I think spring is on its way here.

World men's curling starting today and baseball starts today. I hope to get some bookkeeping done as well.

I watched the US vs. Switzerland last night. We ended up getting beat by 3.

Made some peanut butter cookies to send to my youngest this am, then took off for Menards. yooperdave, did you know they have more than laundry detergent there? :)

Came home and cut and temporarily installed the jamb extensions and casing around the transom window.

Going to need some tweaking. Got to love old house framing right lukem?

Now I'm back to do some work at the office.

:jaw:Hughesnet (my internet) went down nationwide on friday night, I wanted to watch April the giraffee (everyone went to bed early), WWW said I could try his phone. It took me 3 clicks to find the correct "animal adventure" zoo to see the live stream. It appears the first two I clicked on just for a second then clicked out seeing it was not the zoo gave him viruses. Next morning when he turned it on there was big message that his phone was infected from "adult sites" :rofl:  Woopsie.

    (giraffe is still pregnant)

I feel your pain. Never seems to fail, unless it's needed.
My tractor's been doing that to me for at least a couple years.

Glad to see you finally made it past the cleaning section of Menards! Your man card is now almost fully re-instated....almost!
