I hadn't had a payment since '05 until this past Aug when I got the "new" caddy. Certified Pre-Owned is the only way to go.....let someone else take the hit on depreciation, you get as good or better warranty since it's a CPO, hopefully all the bugs/kinks have been worked out & fixed already (you get a full CarFax).

With just 14K miles, the 40% off the original sticker was something I couldn't pass-up!

The more gears, the power should seem smoother, as the engine doesn't have to rev as much. Better MPG too.

Same here, we always buy CPO. Usually a car that's just off lease with < 36k mikes but we've even bought them with 8K miles. Saves a boatload of money off the "new" price and as long as you shop smartly, you're getting a car that's as good as new, anyway.

I have had only 1 new car in my life and that was 30 years ago. Dont plan on starting now. Generally I buy a year or two old and Certified for the warranty.

Understood and looking to see if the should correlates to is

My XTS was an Enterprise rental from North Carolina. Other than some wheel scuffs that the dealer had refinished (I STILL can't see where they fixed them!), and a leaking tire (dealer replaced that tire AND the other front since it had "curb scuff" on the sidewall), the car was mint.....not a mark on it anywhere.
And even at 4000 lbs. and 310 HP, it got 29+ mpg on a trip some months back.

Me too....my '85 Monte Carlo SS was the only brand new one. But even then, the SS package plus I ordered it "loaded", the car was only $12K.....ah, the good old days.

Looks nice out. Gotta clean the stove, replace light bulb in the bedroom, check over the vehicles, take the dogs for there Sunday long walk. Wifey already whipped up a great omelet for breakfast and I'm properly caffeinated. Then over to the grand babys house for early dinner and our play with grandkid fix.

Love the Montes and love the burgundy. You guys are right, the thrifty way to buy a car today is to find a certified vehicle.

    Sounds like fun

I set up a new box for a friend back in December and she needs Blows 10 for some of her work programs so we dropped in a copy and then set the box up with a twin HDD setup and loaded the Zorin OS9 on the second drive.

As long as my machine is working OK and not having issues I tend to leave it alone.

I like the Chrome browser on the Z os9 but they stopped supporting Linux 32 bit, so I went 64 bit this go round.

Gonna be a nice day today (for a change)
Grass is starting to grow now too ARRRRRGH

Warmer for a few days, then back to cool and wet.

Starting to get interested in home improvement again.

Been having an issue with the built in vacuum system and one floor port not SUCKING good.
Figured that it likely slurped up something that could not get around an elbow and then got clogged.

    Hmmmm.
The system is all glued together and would need to cut the pipe ?????

Was at the Depot yesterday and saw some drain snakes that had the little crank handle and the pistol grip.
    Decided to try one.

Stuffed that bad boy down the port until it hung up and then cranked it a bit.... Zooooooooop and all good again.

Gonna have to head to the basement and take a peek in the bucket and see what was caught in the pipe.

Likely something from the remodel of the living/dinning room last June that got sucked down.

Little snake saved a lot of work ripping things apart.

Gotta get back to work on the master bath remodel now

If at first it doesn't clean the lines out see if Krooser has a spare vacuum cleaner.

I bought a new 88 F150 and My wife bought a new 95 Dodge Ram. Other than that we have pretty much gone CPO until I stole the 2016 Escape. The 02 sable, The 2006 F150 and the 2010 Fusion were all CPO. The 06 F150 was a killer deal. The 08's were like $30K(back then) and we snagged it for $13,500 and it only had 11k. Still don't think its got 70K on it yet..........

Very nice out here today. Sunny, mild beeeze and it's going to get up to mid 50s. New growth sprouting in the yard and the smell of spring is in the air! Time to get out there and enjoy it.

Currently 62* on the digital thermometer, and (unfortunately) the grass is greening up. Saw robins last week, and heard peepers 2 nights ago:
