Battery went in the truck last weekend. Started poking around at the local automotive stores, they all wanted $120+ for a replacement battery (some much more than that). Ended up narrowing down the selection to this one at Walmart for $93 or a Sears Diehard Gold for $117. Went with the EverStart. Hope it lasts a good long time.

What ain't done now ain't getting done - but thanks for the advise. I got my cleaning job done, stopped at TSC for cat food then Shaws for people food (just a couple of things). Got home unloaded and called in an order for a Steak Assado Salad from the local Mexican place. I'm eating it now while surfing and when done have a couple more things to accomplish (and maybe some vodka) before I can call it a day. But for now it is break time

Looks like a real contender for when the Ridgeline is done-which I hope isnt for a long while yet but I like to look at my options before hand. I would like to drive one to see how it feels. The Ridgeline has me spoiled being so comfortable.

Believe it or not, the one thing I would miss the most would be the tailgate. I dont know why all trucks dont open both ways like the Honda-it is so convenient to open sideways as well as dropping.

The plus side of the Chevy is being on a real truck frame and real 4 wheel drive unlike Honda AWD system-although the Honda has never given me an issue with traction when called on.

Although the new Ridgeline got truck of the year (really?)it has not won me over. I would find a used low mile 1st generation way before getting into the 2nd generation.

I'm real happy with mine. Love the heated seats. Good traction, I never used 4WD in my travels today. Gas mileage could be better, but I only travel 10 miles to work and back and around town and I get around 17 in the winter, 18-19 in the summer. What few highway trips I've taken it's been close to 23. Lot's of power with the 6 cyl.

Yeah, understood on not using 4wd but I have been in situations that putting a chevy suburban into 4wd high made all the difference in the world on a bad ride home from Boston-Rte 95 was untouched, heavy snow and at least 5 inches on the road. You cant do that with the Honda. You can put it in 4wd but only in 1st or 2nd gear and it goes back into auto AWD with only the front wheel engaged at 15 MPH.

I prefer having the cab and the bed separated. Not sold on the unibody construction.

Engines are the same-3.6L. Plenty of power and similar gas mileage-almost exactly the same
