Thanks artc . This model actually uses the newer type rear calipers, you need to (turn) them while compressing the piston, for it to re-seat properly. Fronts are still C-Clamp / dual piston, from what I remember.. ( It's been a few years, CRS has set in. )

Picked up one of these for the back calipers:

Amazon.com: 8milelake Universal 21pcs Disc Brake Caliper Wind Back Tool Car Truck Auto Tool Set: Automotive

Nice kit - another to join the umpteen 'specialty' kits already on the shelf, that get used every 2-5 years or so.
(Gonna need a bigger shelf soon.)

re: 'C' clamp, will be bringing one or three of those also, in various sizes.

    * Storm: I will have to check w/ the office today - depending on how busy the Service bay is today/tonight, may have to defer until next weekend.
    * That wouldn't bother me right now, internal clock is saying (2am) is not 'optimal' to be doing this service today. :loco:

12+ " of white chit outside, time to go venture out & play in the sn..w ..

    Have a fun day all,
    Rob

Been texting with my neighbor who says that they are going out soon to snow blow and will take care of the bottom. Since I do it 95% of the time and they have 2 teenage boys who are athletes (older is a top ranking state wrestling champ-he just came in 5th for all of New England a few weeks ago) -I think I will let them do this one

I just noticed a wet spot behind the Harman.I think the brick chimney flashing must have a bad spot and water is getting in.It's always something.:headbang: P1010832.JPG P1010833.JPG

yes it is always something. Hopefully that is a minor fix and not any real water damage that has been hiding before showing it ugly head

Reading about all the puter stuff gets me all excited.

I generally keep an eye on the high end boards and other parts, then wait until they are 3 years old and can be had new in the box cheap.

A 3 year old screamer is then classified by the go fast kids as JUNK

    My current outfit is

Thermaltake core P5 (With articulating wall mount
    Asus Maximus Extreme mobo
    intel x9770 cpu
    HIS HD 6870 video card
    750 watt power supply

Modified the Core P5 and added a 4 slot 5-1/4 bay for optic drives and 2 quick change HDD slots.

Added brackets and modified a twin fan radiator for liquid cooling (Currently using a big air cooler)

Feeding a 50 inch LCD screen that is also wall mounted

    Running Linux Zorin 9 LTS

    NO MORE BLOWS HERE

Do not miss the MS at all.

Well, you likely know what needs to be done, that's half the battle and better than not seeing anything out of the ordinary.

That sucks, hopefully the rain will let up for you soon. That happens here w/ the skylights on a heavy deluge in the summer - the joys of owning an old house..

You stole that one, David. * Nice choice on the new rig, when you setup your Data Center - let us know if you're time-sharing that CPU, I'll sign up.. * Congrats on the purchase.

Blinking here too.. :( Seems ok now. Satellite is buried under wet crusty crud, gotta go back out & broom off the dish. :headbang: Happy Wife ...

Using the unscientific 'stick the shovel in the sn*w and watch it dissapear' method, looks like a solid foot here in the sheltered areas, more w/ drifting. Still sn*wing at a healthy clip.

Looks like April 7th now for the brakes, service bay will be too busy overnight w/ vehicle cleanup. That's ok, I need more sleep and Beer.

Heading back out to restore Satellite service.. Yay.

I didn't see anything but there was some snow still stuck in there. Decided to put it in the garage and let the stuff melt off then if I find time I will look later. Could be - or my general lack of maintenance (besides gas and checking oil) on a blower that is probably as old as this house caught up to it. And literally 5-10 minutes before I was thinking "man, I love this snow blower it just keeps running and running." :picard:
