Been at least a week since the last fire. Thermal mass is keeping us at a comfortable 68-70. Warm weather right around the corner. That's it for 2016-17!

Us either. There will be a few more overnight burns as predictions call for some nights in the mid 30's. It's 53°, overcast and wet now, and I just lit 2 pieces of red maple and a piece of cherry. Should have the place up to 74° from the current 68° in no time.

Where is bert the turtle located? I probably will burn another 1/4 to 1/2 cord on the cool nights in April.

It's 34 and snowing as I type this :hair:

North Carolina. Still dropping into the 50s at night but the design of my house means the temperature changes slowly so I can coast for weeks at these temperatures. By then it will be plenty warm. I try to get it cool enough this time of year that I can hold off on air conditioning until June.

Still another 4 weeks of burning all day, and another 2 at night. Granted, less splits.

Not here yet either. Snowed today and suppose to go below freezing tonight and then more snow on Friday night. No biggie pretty typical for March.

Thats funny, I'm kind of the opposite.
I burn at night and let the coals sit during the day. The sun keeps the house warm if we get 50's or better during the day

Me either... my house is currently sitting at 54. Will start another fire tonight to take chill out of the air. Probably another couple of weeks of 1 night fires...

That's just an April fools joke. It's really June-ly.

I didn't see your location, kind of makes it hard to see what's up around the world here :)

6 more weeks here, but not many big fires from the look of the forecast.

I think I may be getting sick or something....99 asked to go to the cottage tonight for a sleepover-first one of the year-and I elected to stay put. :picard:

Missed out on a great chance to fire up the 13!!
