I tried selling apple and hickory and separated it but there was not enough demand to warrant it. The last picture in post #1 has some hickory I kept out for a guy who runs a small BBQ outfit. I have a couple smokers myself. It was crappy the day I took these pictures and was smoking 45#s of pork shoulder as it was on sale for $.98/ pound. You need so little wood to smoke and a 5 gallon pail last 2-3 years.
The Weber Smoky Mountain!! Nice smoker for home use. I've had one for many years. Lots of ribs, pork, brisket and chicken has come out of it.
Yes, I like the Weber Smokey Mountain a lot, have the 22.5" for big cooks and a smaller 18.5" for regular stuff. The latter was modded by adding an extra vent in the top and much higher temps can be obtained for poultry. Then I remove the foiled water pan and use direct heat on the top rack. Like a regular Weber kettle, but farther away from the coal so it doesn't burn.
The 22.5" is quite a bit more than that, the 18.5" I got off CL for $150 with 7 bags of lump charcoal and it is in great shape.
