I'll have to try Bray's... I stay up in Freedom NH every bike week, at my BILs cottage on Danforth Pond (part of Ossipee) and we go over to Bayhaven every year. Food is great!

Yeah, I have to get after my roof after any snow of 6" or more, with my roof rake. I just pull off the first 3'. The sun does the rest usually. Have had roofs a lot more challenging, so I guess it's as good as I can get. Roof raking here is not too bad.

I just took a look at them. I think I'm going to get one. Only problem is part of my back wall is three stories high which might get a bit unwieldy with a bunch of extension poles.

Today, taxes (still not done), a couple hours of fwhc, then after watching campinspectors logging videos I went on you tube for another hour and watched some more logging videos. I topped off my "do nothing" day by sitting on my azz watching the Olympics.

When we were living at the old farm, had to have 5-5' sections of the handle to get up on the main part of the old colonial. It was interesting but gudder done. I like the plastic head on the one I have now (easier on the shingles) along with a telescopic 3 section handle. Pretty slick.

Getting some caffeine in me right now, slept in a little on the day off. Time to get some things done around the house today. First I am going to go get some diesel for the Bobcat, looks like I will be cleaning up again later today or tomorrow depending on how much/when we get the snow. Going to spend some time with the wife and kids today as well. They are all on vacation. Now. What to do with them? Maybe go down to the winter wonderland at the camp and play some cards inside by the pellet stove and have a hot meal for lunch. All the snow fell off the roof and buried the steps and porch again. I will have to shovel that off. :( Do I wish I had built a temporary roof over that last fall. :zip:

I hear ya Stinny. My oldest daughter is 22, almost 23 now. I don't see here as much as I use to/would like to. Luckily she still lives here and I do get to see her once a week or so. I could not be more proud of the kid. Working full time and working on her photography hobby. She is making some money on the side doing pictures for special occasions for folks. Birthdays/Weddings/etc. My wife and I met a little late in life and we have three young kids together. Two at 10, and 1 at 7 now. Good times!

Our kids are 33 and 35 now. That does not seem possible. They were so much fun when they were the ages of your younger ones. You're wise to soak up time with your older daughter. Sounds like she's gonna do just fine when she, all too soon, heads off into the big world on her own. Great that you've been able to help a little in this terrible economy… :zip:

A bit of a warm up on the temps around here has the snow packing like ice under foot and equipment so no wood cutting today. :(
Guess I'll hang out in the garage and maybe clean up chainsaws and look the splitter over.
Pulling the splitter home yesterday had it packed in what seemed a hundred pounds of ice/snow. That's hard on it, left it thawing out in the garage last nite.
You good people have a good day. Peace.

Oldest daughter lives at her mothers most of the time, but only about 4 miles away from here. The "terrible" economy has not affected her at all. She has a good work ethic and determination and has had no problem finding and keeping jobs since she started working.
