Early birthday present

    My brother was in town at my mothers, so I stopped over to see him today.

    Now I'm sure everyone has my birthday written down or committed to memory ( :) ) so you know when he said he had my birthday present for me I was a bit perplexed. After all we ALL know it's May 10th.

    First thing he had for me was this.

    It was a saw he bought for himself, got stored in a a wet area by his wife, and forgotten about. I was blown away and it just so happened I had been looking at picking one up from a local antique store this week!

    A little elbow grease and she should be making chips fly!

    Next I dig into an Amazon.Com box and pull out this beauty!

    I'd say your a lucky man too. Both of your newly acquired tools look like they are in great shape and ready to use.

    Did a quick search and found a leather guard that I think I will pick up for the axe...if you saw the handle of my X27 you would know why. :)

    You also must realize that those should not be used before April 22 which just happens to coincide with our get-together!

    Some white vinegar can work wonders and a little rubbing with crocus cloth won't hurt either.

    It certainly makes more of an argument for me to get there. Hopefully it would work out.

    So are you saying that if I bring that crosscut saw up we all would only use that instead of chainsaws? :)
