Something like this... With a 20-5 hp Diesel engine. With a direct pto (not a hydraulic motor), a 600-800 pound lift capacity and enough traction to pull a rake or small blade... I'd buy one.

I plow snow for my neighbor at a local school. This Cat 277 is pretty sweet. Just got done this morning.

    That's a tall order for a UTV.

You'll never get a mech. PTO on an RTV as they are all 100% hydro machines. For better or for worse.

Look for an old Jacobsen SV2322, Cushman Turf Truckster, or Toro Workman HD as they are all available with rear PTO kits. (mech). You'll have to fab the 3 pt because nobody offers one AFAIK. But with the hydraulic capability they have it shouldn't be a problem. Oh yeah, there is one other drawback to HD utility vehicles. Finding one with the rear PTO (rare), and in 4WD (rare and $$) is going to be quite the mission. 2WD with good tires and lots of weight might work OK.

Saw on tv that many flat fenders were converted to tractors after the war cause they were plentiful and cheap and rugged.

My brother has a 1947 CJ2A he bought 35+ years ago. It is equipped with a rear PTO, a box to increase the hauling capacity and a front weight that fits behind the bumper between the frame rails.

This is the only cool thing I have that's motorized. Not nearly as big as most the tractors on here but it does get a lot of work accomplished. Kubota BX2360 with a front end loader, 4 foot brush hog, 60" mower deck, and a five foot blade. I needed one tractor to do it all for the time being and it has performed well.

There's know where else to put the firewood but under the hood because of all the toys taking up the space.:)

Haha I was pulling all that stuff the 3 hours across the state to my farm. I have 130 acres there an easy 100 of woods. No need to haul wood there.

The smaller John Deere, what are the 2 upright beams for? Just a guard?

Bobcat Toolcat are way $$ for what they are. A normal Bobcat can outwork it 2 to 1.

The BX series from Kubota are great tractors. A BX24 was my first tractor as I wanted one tool (toy) to do it all - finish mow, loader work, brush hog, etc. After 2 years and lots of work, I sold it and bought my used L2650 and a zero turn mower. Found for my use that two different machines was a better fit.

The BX always impressed me with what I could do with it.

I like the little BXs but the one thing I can't stand about them is no hydraulics at idle. Such a pain! Lol.

Anybody remember these? They make pretty stout DIY kit to build whatever you want. Pull the cutting units off of one and mount a dump bed. Hmmm, now you're talkin'.
