Last one I pics up was under some oaks half buried in leaves in the middle of some fields while I was in my truck.

When I actually marked and cruised timber I would picknow up several a year but not that much.

IMG_3780.JPG I've only found one shed, ever. A few weeks ago I was surprised to capture a bachelor party on video. We built this shed catcher and after two no sheds. But lots of good video over the cracked corn.

That's a pretty cool natural antler trap. All the ones I have seen involve fence and/or bungee cords.

Has anyone had success with an antler trap?

We have so many does you would spend quite a bit of money feeding just to try to get some sheds.

I've got a lot of laurel and it was easy to find a three together near where I keep the camera. I trimmed the three and used the cleaned off branches and zip-ties.
From the videos I got, it looks like it would work really well if something with antlers would poke it's head in.

And no luck yet. Just got in from hiking out back.

It has occurred to me that although the one I built is a very fine specimen, there are literally a couple hundred acres of antler traps the bucks could pass through to get mine.

Here's a few from the last month. Had about a hundred or so. Lots of does, the fox is a regular, a possum, raccoon and that one black one I cant make out.

    Don't forget that skunk!!.

I think that "black one you can't make out " is a possum? Looks like the bald tail , but I could be wrong too?

Edit: I see you list possum???

Edit: All these animals just hanging out in the gravel by your shop/garage?!!! I remember I put a cam up on my garden one time I couldn't beleive the stuff I saw that never saw other times. Tons of rabbits, squirrels (of course I saw them in day) , neighbors chickens which I also saw,and tons of cats I had never seen before!! Possums coons..

I don't think the black one is a possum. I added a couple more pics of the black one, might be a big raccoon? Ohh yea.. skunks too.

And yes, all live with me out in the woods... I could charge admission like the zoo does.

    Here's the possum...

Not that I know of... Really not sure though.

Thanks. It's half garage and half of it is two story living space. I like it, it's low maintenance and I can step out from my living room into my garage.

That is exactly what I have always wanted! I am apprehensive about doing a two story though. Afraid it may become a liability in my later years.

No need to do it in a two story. I have both my neighbors living in steel buildings also. You may not be far from me, you can come and see it sometime if you like.

What part of the state is that bobcat from Bocefus? I'm southwest of Indy and they are popping up around here at a good rate

Is there not suppose to be bobcats in Indiana?

There all over here in SC. Not as common as deer or coyote but still see them .

They've been around here for awhile but the population is definitely growing fast.
