Reverse Mortgage, *Please read before considering*!

This line is used by every major corporation I've had to deal with.

"Your call may be monitored for quality assurance and training purposes".

If you make them aware of it I believe that puts you in the clear.

 

I had to re-fi a few years back. Went to the same bank that had the original mortgage. Small local bank with personal service (originally) Well they started getting bigger and went to using just one mortgage person for all the branches...then you did the closing at a lawyers office instead of at the bank with the same person you started with. I had a deadline that I had to close by, they screwed around until the last minute and then when I went to sign, I find out they had jacked my rate even though I had "locked in", and I had the papers to prove it. I signed anyways because I had to, then I went to the bank and raised a stink! Told them they just lost my business forever. I closed all my accounts there and did a second re-fi at a different small town bank to pay off the re-fi at the jack-wagon bank...it cost me $2k to do it, but I didn't care...never setting foot in the place again...and I warn others about them every chance I get. They are lucky they didn't get sued...open and shut case IMO.

 

WeldrDave ask_wellfargo is a twitter customer service. The FaceSucks page is /wellfargo; I don't do FaceSucks or I would post there; if you do, I would post there and on twitter at least once a day until they answer. I wonder if there is not some civil complaint you could file against the local person that is handling the account; nothing like pulling someone into court to get their attention. Filing fees vary with courts but even if it was $100 it might be worth it.

I will tell a story. When I was attending college a friend told me how he got a court judgment against a guy that did not pay him for some weed he sold him. Of course I found that strange but then he added, well, it was not really about the weed; the actual civil complaint he filed was that the guy did not pay him for some tyres he sold him. My friend got someone willing to go to court and testify that he was present when the tyres were sold (probably in exchanged for some weed LOL). Judgement granted. All you need in a court of law is someone willing to lie; cops do it, lawyers do it, even the judges do it.

Anyway, it is worth trying the twitter and FaceSucks.

 

I wasn't being serious about the civil complaint. However, I would hope the community here would get behind you on flooding their twitter and FacesSucks pages. I did post several twitter posts about them trying to steal your house. The local branch is not going to help you, they are stonewalling and we know that. So take it up the ladder. Someone mentioned that you need a lawyer that knows the industry and deals with this. They probably are breaking some laws here but you need a lawyer; the problem there is the cost; of course if it goes to court you always ask for attorney fees.

I did see a few replies on ask_wellsfargo asking the person to send a DM about the issue. It is worth trying.

 

I'd give away the 65,000$ before I'd lie under oath....

 

Then you haven't been in a court of law lately, the prosecutor will lie his/her arse off and the judge will go along with it all. Yeah, I will lie in a minute in a court because I know the realities.

 

Worse bank ever! The hours they are open suck

 

They probably get thousands of threatning letters a week.

 

Two wrongs don't make a right.....

 

And you stick to that, please...You will beat them somehow but don't be lowered to lying and being a dirt bag...

Really struck a raw nerve in me, I HATE someone who lies,cheats or steals...

 

Teach (that I really liked) caught me tryin to cheat on a test in 4th grade...took me out in the hall and told me how disappointed she was with me...I felt terrible...never did that again!
