I think it is one of those "teacher" days. They will have lost days extending the school year. We still have more winter to get through so who knows how many more days they will loose. We seem to get an awful lot of 5 AM robo calls from the superintendent of schools telling us that there will be a late start, or school closing.

Yeah I got dug out, Don did the driveway and turnaround area and I did the path to the chicken coop and back/front deck, the boss did the deck to door and the chicken coop door. I can operate the 14.5 hp snowblower without it doing me in.

machinist called me today. more of my parts are done for the Atlas, and they are working on the leather seals for the crankshaft. i've got another small job for him, involving another leather flex joint. took the flywheel off again this afternoon (weighs about 2500 lbs) to make ready for the fitting of the seals. Next Wednesday we will set the heads on. i can add the rest of the primed parts and be ready for a move to the museum in April! still need to paint it, but this motor will run for the first time in over 70 years this summer! I'm excited!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::smoke::smoke:

Well hopefully someday before June we get back to normal temps and can stop burning 2 bags a day and start stretching a bag out over more than one day.

in more ways than one. We have a 99 year lease on the Zagray Farm property concurrent with another tenant. the land use of each tenant is polar opposite and has resulted in a 17 year battle. The landlord has given up and decided to transfer the property (subject to the courts approval) to us. We are buying out the 99 year lease of the other tenant as part of the deal. We are due in Court April 5th for the courts blessing of the transfer in what is called a deviation action (transferring property held in trust from one 501C3 to another, essentially). then we simply have a closing on the parcels and pay off the tenant. Then it's :drunk::drunk::drunk::cheers::grizz::chef: time
