    That reminds me of a lil friend I had in grade school, he thought it was really cool...he would ask you if you want to see how fast a Tiger moves...you'd say yeah, then he wouldn't move...and then ask you if you saw that :rofl: :lol:
    EDIT: It was a Cheetah...not a Tiger. Hey, grade school was a long time ago!

    Nice that you and Mrs TD and the dogs could get out, especially before this next snow moves in. Not sure what you are expecting but only around 4-5" here. If we do get it I hope got get out to skid some more logs as they skid easier with snow on the ground.

    Yes. Very nice! We really hauled azz for about 4 hours including unloading Thursdays red oak haul.
    I was WHOOPED!

    Maybe hit it again today...

    We have our '18-19 wood done and the '19-20 stack is starting to look nice.

    Need a load for 17-18 yet.:emb:
    I have a neighbor that had a few big dead trees come down and lots of ash around that should be ready for next heating season.

    If you can haul that big trailer behind the RV you could take some home from the GTG. Danged long haul though but you would be welcome to it.

    I can relate to the being pooped out from that work but it can be a good feeling too. Especially when you are sitting there by the fire and perhaps enjoying a beer, then fighting to stay awake! :rofl: :lol:

    Stacked in the stove room like that means it dries fast. I brought some split oak at 30% moisture and sat it behind the stove and it was ready to burn in short order; several days I guess, don't remember. The house stays rather dry anyway so it sucked the moisture out of the wood.

    They were small splits; I picked out some small ones on purpose and put them at the stove just to see how they would do. The house is really too dry. All the flowers that I brought in for the winter are constantly drying out. I did put a pot of water at the stove once. I guess I will be OK for this winter but I need to get ahead as everyone has told me. I hope to start doing just that.

    Make some young friends out there, and seed some community building.... you could end up way ahead on firewood and also help others to see the (fire) light on heating.:thumbs:

    One good thing about being alone is that I don't have to worry about when I want to do things since I don't have to work around another person's schedule. However, there are those times that being alone is not so great, like needing help doing something or having someone to share the nice fire burning in the stove. I do come up with ways to get around not having help; like using a come along to lift the bonnet off the tractor. But yes, there are times with some company is nice and I usually don't have that.
