Floor is done

Was able to get some time off work, and got the floor in the loft. I think it was 96 sq ft. It came out pretty good. Now back downstairs to finish up the bathroom. More pics to come.

 

Beautiful Spencer .. noticed a and had to chuckle.. it's going to below zero so no need for AC yet

Thanks!! The floor is 3/4" oak boards that we cut on the sawmill (lots of them lol). The room will be a bedroom in the cabin.

Got some real tight joints in that floor judging from the pics. Great job!

 

Thanks! We ripped all the boards to the same size and made sure the table saw was cutting real square. I had to hand plane the sides on quite a few boards to get the fit just right.

Yep half of it, still finishing up the downstairs. Will post some pics after this weekend of the bathroom. Its all wood paneling and flooring also.

Why the verticals on the walls?

 

Thanks! We put the verticals there to cover up seams. The trusses were not made perfect (thats what happens when you get a couple amateurs making trusses lol), and so the boards didnt line up great there. Also covered up nail holes.
