    The IS will tolerate a little more moisture than the Fireview .
    I use a meter sometimes. I can usually tell what's good and what's not ready

    Moisture meters work best at 70 degrees.
    At 21 the meter will not be accurate.
    Ice is a very poor conductor.

    At 21 degrees moisture meter it's close enough.
    But then again I agree Ice is very poor conductor of heat in a wood stove:)
