with the high winds today I decided to got to a place I call misfit island. It's a tract that was logged 3 or 4 years ago it's where all the un wanted wood is left behind that no one wants ( hence the name) Well except for this scrounger it's a lot of picking thru but worth it to me.
My thoughts exactly. There's a ton of wood to be scrounged thru Hey the mrs and I are big sox fans (assuming that's what the screen name is for )
I see some nice cozy heat there! I wish we had areas like that around. I went to look at a guys property that had recently been logged (and more happening in the future) All that was left was wrist size branches and maybe a half truck load of good stuff. Granted he has about 4 other guys with permision to cut as well. I'm hoping they stop cutting once the need for wood (cold) disappears. Then I can really reap the benefits out there! Scrounging is fun and a great stress reliever! Nice Job!
One man's trash is another man's treasure. Nice job of salvaging. Now have a brewpop and sit by the fire, it looks cold out there and you must be tired.
