I agree, warmer, colder, warmer, colder, more windy, less windy. Keeps happening.

I'd like to get out to Yellowstone once more before the next super volcano-it seems we're a few thousand years overdue for that!
(Wonder what that's blamed on?)

If that does blow, the eastern half of the country will be buried in ash. I hope I am gone before that happens as it won't be pretty.

There has been one thing for certain. The average world temperature is slowly increasing. Data from all over shows it.

I guess thats what is meant by cycles....warm cold etc. I think it would be worrisome if everything stayed constant, no?

I read something a few years ago that woke me up. There was a geologist in Iowa that found some rocks that didn't belong there, he was able to trace them back to Yellowstone, if I recall it was 6-700 miles away. When that particular volcano blows again, it will change the world.

I was talking to a geologist in college a long time ago.. he stated that the volcano that blew... by Greece (forgot name old I guess) was one of the leading reasons for the dark ages.. earth cooled.. crop failures famines etc etc. I find it amazing the power of the earth.. I remember when Mt st Helens went how it changed our weather 3000 miles away for several years..

They said this Feb was the warmest in a long time, maybe since record keeping began but it hasn't been warm enough for my liking because there's still a foot and a half of snow on the ground. It's supposed to get down to -32C tonight here so I'll have to stoke the old wood furnace every two hours to maintain the temp. in here. Needless to say, that's not happening. I'll get it good and warm before I go to bed after watching the hockey game on tv.

I could go for a little global warming right now. Had a high of 21 and a stiff wind most of the day. Still a couple inchs of snow on the ground. 3 hours of cutting was enough today.

Many years ago (close to 100) there was a movie theater that would let you in for free if you brought two tires for them to throw into there burner...(boiler/furnace/whatever they used).
They only asked that you have them wrapped up into a figure 8 and tied that way so they could fit them through the fire box door!
No wise cracks now, I'm not that old; this was told to me!
