So, my wife and I have been married for 36 years. We have come to a huge debate all of a sudden that has us at each others throats. Creamy or chunky peanut butter? And then there is the real debate that gets our blood boiling. Wheat bread or Rye. I'll tell ya, iffn it wasnt for these 2 really important issues in life, we would have absolutely nuthin to worry bout. Really. No, really.
I'll go with the wheat bread but....creamy? Really? You guys probably put ketchup on a bruanswieger sammich too dontcha.
I might....might, put ketchup on muh fries. Never on braunschweiger. ETA: time for a snack...creamy PB on wheat.
Creamy PB on fresh white bread, slathered in Concord grape jelly!! I will be back, gonna make me a sammich!
I really don't have a problem with either, but I much prefer smooth. Brand on the other hand.... Wife likes -Jif. I like - Skippy. She shops, we have Jif. I shop, I buy what's on sale and never hear the end of it. I don't get to shop much. edit- Sourdough English muffins, real butter, and a healthy coating of Skippy.... I am in Heaven.
Some folks just like to stir up trouble about nothing. Two words - crunchy and wheat. No further discussion is needed.
Other than fries and burga's, ketchup only goes on eggs.... As for liver wurst, spicy brown or a horse radish based mustard + fresh onion....on rye, of course.
I like peanuts and butter, but not peanut butter...... never cared for the taste and texture ...I'm a white bread person that happens to also like mustard in his macaroni and cheese....... ketchup isn't that a food group in itself???
Smooth peanut butter (no added salt or sugar). Mix in honey. eat with a spoon. that bread stuff just gets in the way of the creamy goodness
My wife and I both agree that crunchy is the far superior peanut butter! We do differ on bread, I’m a rye guy and she prefers wheat but we compromise and alternate back and forth between both types every week. Where we can’t compromise is on jams, I gotta have preservatives with the seeds, and she likes that squeeze stuff that’s just called a “spread”. So we keep both types in stock to keep the peace! We ran out of cheese this morning so I actually made a PB&J sandwich for today. Looks like this week it’s wheat.
Update: Wife prefers crunchy PB......with apples. Eric, try some hotsauce on yer scrambled eggs. Gooder.
