I got tied up a little longer than expected this morning with dump run, visiting with parents, and returning bottles and cans. But I was able to get out and cut half a dozen stumps down before it was time to break for lunch. Here are pics of a few. First three are working on same stump. Last three are just the finished off shot.
Yes, some of those stumps had some nice shapes to them, you might want to old a few off from the burn pile.
I don't know what you would do with them. To short for tables. Most are only 8-12" high. Unless you could cut just a two or three inch thick piece off the bottom (closest to the ground) to get something big enough for a table top or sign. ? Then custom make legs of table.
Yes, that is what I meant; the little battery powered ones; I haven't seen an AC electric clock with hands lately for sale, then again I haven't been looking. There is an an AC electric clock here that was a gift to Mum years ago. I don't have it on the wall because of no handy outlets; plus you have the cord dangling down the wall.
Not to quibble, but the use of the word "electric" in U.S. colloquial denotes AC, i.e., a cord dangling down the wall. May you continue with your assimilation training now.
Hey TurboDiesel, have you seen Gasifier's amazing wood, errrr, I mean stump.....uuuuhhhh, wait. Not what I meant. He's got some neat stump cuts! Yeah, that's it!
I don't know what this means. I take the little guy laughing and kicking his legs means it is amusing but I don't know why. The other little guy is either excited or scared. On the stumps; I am guessing if a slab is cut from one now it will split as it dries
If you like the looks you can always subject then to turning. A lathe can really enhance some shapes you find in nature.
