I taken the exhaust blower out to check it out, looks like brand new
Took a peek at the auger bushing area and no fines means the bushing is still doing its job
I will get to the burnpot when the weather warms up some

Where's the ignitor filter...I know I've never cleaned mine!!!

Hey Dex, thanks for the info on the igniter filter, I will check it out. The reason I had mentioned that to Ivan is when I was talking with Matt about a slight problem that happened with my unit that had involved lighting he said to me the longer the lighter has to run to light the fuel it will cause excessive wear and burn the lighter out. In my case the furnace only runs 24/7 when there is extreme cold which only occurs a couple times a winter. So in other words I usually shut the furnace off for the night and have to relight every morning. If you light it and it burns for days or weeks on end it would not be a concern. I don't know if that makes any sense or not but that is my situation . If it isn't minus 20 day and night here all the time it just gets way to hot for us.

Also noticed the glass is further inside which leaves less lip for ashes to build up against the glass.

Fire went out as it ran out of pellets and no error code was on. So I dump some pellets with some gel to fire it back up. The fire wasn't big at all and it lit itself without shutting down. Came back a little later and there it was, a crack. Could of been cold from the OAK?

 

Hello folks, I believe I asked this once before but is there a preferred seller of this furnace that can ship to WA at a good price? And, does anybody have any idea what that price might be? Looking to heat a 30x60x14 foot well insulated shop with it and is seems that good freestanding stoves are just as expensive as a real furnace. Plus I could filter and duct heated air to the far corners.

I live near a few softwood pellet manufacturers so they're cheap and while I love my NC30 it is not convenient to keep a wood fire going in an outbuilding. Also, despite running the NC30 hard it doesn't have the power to rapidly heat the place up on command so I spend a lot of time playing catch up and heating the concrete insulated slab it seems. Thinking a low thermostat setting of 50 or so all winter.
