According to them, we don't rank very high on the list at #33. Yet, I've compared our state to a couple of those on or near the top and could not imagine me living there! I'll stay in MI thank you although there are a couple others I could live in.
wildwest not gonna go political here but I got real questions about who put this list together... 1 is mass ... NH is 2 and VT is 10.. mass and VT some really high taxes and property values hard to be young and get started here..
What's really funny is IL ranked higher than MI. That's a joke. I'm coming to MI to live with you. Can I park my RV back by the stacks? That way I would have plenty of firewood Chief
NJ. 14? That's bullchit. Our state is the worst for almost everything. We do however have people leaving in record numbers.
I guess we have different criteria when we rank our home state. Health care and education, great. Our highways and bridges are a mess. I'm on the NH border and their highway system is real good compared to ours.
Yikes. If Washington ranks high for infrastructure and government then I'd hate to see the states that rank lower.
No doubt to all the above, so much criteria important to so many of us not included, including burning laws.
Massachusetts? Really? With their nickname and all? No way! I call foul! tfdchief there is room for you in the U.P. if you can handle the weather. No Tornadoes to speak of and you can laugh at the way all people with Ill plates drive!! If the L.P. doesn't take you (milder winters) we will.
All I know is, Pa had the highest tax on fuel in the US as of last year. Then this year they topped it by another 10%. Wonder why our economy is ranked 39th? We are being choked to death.
I don't believe Colorado ranks #9 whatsoever. Their ranking system must be utopian in nature 'cause it fits someone's agenda or something. 2016 national median income was -$ 55,775. Co. is - $ 31,664 Cost of living- #33 Housing affordability- #48 Don't get me started on crime stats. The legalization of marijuana has really skewed things, from a migration standpoint and an economic standpoint. This ranking is bogus.
#5 for Washington. I am not sure I would agree with their rankings or methodology, but (Eastern) Washington is not a bad place to live.
