Either be heading to the metal shop or job site for continued install of new construction ductwork today and probably all week for that matter.
This job should have (and could have) been completed last fall....
All I can say is that the typical homeowner should never NEVER try to undertake the general contractor position! ("What do you mean, I have to have it inspected? Isn't that what the building permit is for?")

You and I PM'd about that briefly a while back.... haven't been since 2014, was trying to plan something for this summer, but our cards have been getting reshuffled of late.
If we do and I can get my wife to agree to it (probably wouldn't stay at our family cabin again- had a couple of mice running around as it's so infrequently used- she about lost it for us having to sleep with them critters   ), sure would enjoy meeting up with ya Jack. :handshake:

Have my son at the doctor this morning for his allergy shots, he gets those once every three weeks now. After I drive him over to school and get home I will be getting back to work on the stump removals in the horse pasture. That will be a good work out for the CS 680 and me! I better get my second dose of caffeine and a light breakfast in me before I get started.

2 inches of snow here this morning and frosty temps. Didn't get up to go for my walk as I haven't gone shoe and boot shopping yet. We had a really nice weekend.

Thanks for all the best wishes on our anniversary especially Jack Straw's 45 more. While we were at Mom's moving wood, I was reading an older newspaper now being headed for lighting the fire about a couple who had been married 80 years. It was an arranged marriage when they were both 12. Shortly after they were married, his parents died and so they grew up together and raised their family. They made a decision to move to Canada after they had been married over 40 years. At 92, he is still fairly active and looks after his wife. It was quite a story.

Yeah...The whole situation here is no good. A few weeks ago 3 girls knocked on the neighbors door at 2 AM stoned out of their minds. Lucky for them this was one of the few neighbors I have that don't answer the door at 2 am with a shotgun.

Tried getting the police involved several times and they don't do anything.

It's only a matter of time before something real bad happens. Somebody is going to knock on the wrong door and try to come in the house and I think we all know what happens after that.

Wow. One good work out in today, so far. I removed 12 more stumps, actually cut them down as low as I could to the ground. Then carried them all over to a nearby burn pile. Resting time now until kiddos get off the bus from school. Then their Mom will be home soon after and after we get a chance to talk for a bit I'm going for my walk through the woods.

When I got home from work there was another officer making a patrol run up the road and back. Not sure if that's good or bad.

Caffeine going in, finally. I slept in until 6:30.:picard: Anywho, I did get out for a walk in the late afternoon yesterday for a little exercise on top of the stump removal I did in the pasture.

Here are a few pics from the walk. The frozen stream picture is my favorite of the three.

Looking at the back of the camp from trail. Lot of stumps to remove here and everywhere.

Top 'O The Mornin', my fine firewood hoarding brothers and sisters. Bright eyed and bushy tailed! Coffee down the hatch! It's gonna be a great day. Make it so...and stay safe out there!
