Do you know if the one on eBay has inner baffles that need to be cut out? I wouldn't mind getting the exhaust away from the top cover. I sure appreciate the link to that muffler also T2 Tappin'
On your model i have no idea. Find it on ebay and contact seller. Sure there chinese but can answer questions like that. The one for a 372 just like that i have did not. There all the same thing usually. If you can find a usa seller with one on ebay there better to ask.
Can't keep up with him now a days he doesn't post much here anymore. I think most posts must be on OPE. I just don't frequent there. I will for awhile then fall off and not go back forawile. Haven't been on in a few months.
Like me, I think much of his time is spent posting on a time clock these days. Make hay while the sun is shining and all that.
Yep... Between work and my family? I don't post much anywhere. I made a couple posts on OPE a week or so back. But I can't keep up with my own life, let alone an online on. lol
Yeah, it sucks. Worked straight through this past weekend. Working straight through this weekend, and probably Sat of the weekend after that. March is when we pick back up and it's REALLY picked up fast.
Good to know someone's line of work is doing well. The forest industry in the south is in the crapper! Record high lumber prices at the store they say and I think record low prices on the stump it seems like.
That sucks my friend.. I truly hope it picks up at the stump for you. The last 3 months was slow, but for the steel industry, that's typical.
Had some spare time on my hands this morning so I figured I would get the muffler mod done. It sure did help with the throttle response and after a retune it is cutting nicely. Only had a 8" piece of Cypress to cut some cookies off of but I will give it a good run when I head out to get another load of oak. Pic 1: made the cut with the cut off tool Pic 2: used an old file to help keep the bottom side from getting bent in as I was flaring the top side out. Pic 3 & 4: after the flaring was done Pic 5: blowing out all the fragments Pic 6: finished product Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
94BULLITT clemsonfor I do appreciate yall. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out to start with since I didn't have a Dremel but I just took my time. I hope I can get out and run it this evening before dark to see how she will cut and make the final adjustments on the carb. Got it running a hair rich right now Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
When I gave it a good run this evening I thought it was running good. I richened up the high speed just a bit more (maybe a 1/8 of a turn) than I already had but its running like a sewing machine. Plug is still a nice uniform color and not much excess fuel on it at all. The muffler mod really does help with 0-60 so to speak. Right now I am running 50:1 with Husky XP oil and 89 non-ethanol fuel. I usually get it in 5gal cans then treat it with a bit of stabilizer and Lucas upper cylinder lubricant before letting it sit. As needed I'll fill up my 1gal cans and mix the oil at stage. Any have any thoughts or opinions that could better my current setup? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
To get a good plug reading you need to shut it of in the cut. That will give you a good idea of what your tuning is like at wide open throttle. I think it would be best to buy gas 1 gallon at a time and use that up then get more. "They" gas over 30 days should be disposed off. Clean, sealed cans are very important. I don't see any need for the upper cylinder lube. Have you researched what is in the upper cylinder lube? It may do more harm than good. Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk
Thanks for the info and opinions on fuel 94BULLITT With all my equipment at work I use about 8-10 gal a week then end up mixing about 2 a week for my saws. Seems I'm constantly filling up the 3 cans haha. Anything that isn't used at the end I of the gets burned in my truck. I use the "no spill" cans hoping to keep it sealed up the best I can. I use the Lucas upper cylinder lube in my Tahoe so I just pass it on to the equipment gas. I'll get a pic of the bottle here shortly. I'll have to do some research of how it effects 2 strokes. Here is a little info on it from Lucas. Have you ever run this? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
