That's my skidding winch. She's a little overweight but so am I. That's 200' of 7/16" cable on the drum !! And 2 extension cables of 100' each on the reel in front.

I mostly put it on my flatbed chained through the 5th wheel hole and drag the stuff out. I can also pull stuff (logs ECT) up on my car hauler trailer.

It originally didn't have any guard's on the drive or the expanded metal shield. The first time my son was using it was on a tough pull, the trucks squatting and the old Wisconsin is barking......Cable is bowstring tight. I look up and he's got one hand on the clutch and sippun coffee with the other standing dead center behind the cable. I about s___!!

Next day we made the guards. That was all new steel rusted up in 2 days to match the "patina".

Good lord she is a beast. Wish I could find Wendy's twin. I've been on the hunt for a good winch. I would have had to get some spare pants if I saw someone's hand on that clutch while the cable was tight especially if it was my son. You shouldnt have any problems with running out of cable haha

It's made by "King construction equipment Co. Chicago IL" According to the son of the original purchaser they picked it up at the factory in the mid 50's and it was used to build, repair and demolish dairy barns. It came equipped with a s___load of rusty cactus wire.

That's awesome, you should probably donate that to....ME.....

I'd love to build one someday, or maybe finally break down and buy a Lewis winch for one of my chainsaw powerheads. Lord knows I'd use it......

Frankly if you can build it yourself do it. Personally not a fan of chainsaw winches for skidding. Winches are butt simple to make. I wish my insurance agency didn't look at me like prey when I mentioned "thinking of making custom machines again"

No saw it on Craigslist...... Couldn't resist, it was new and cheap from a house that made me look unworthy to enter. I'll try and find a picture of the entrance, we had to call for a appointment haha.
It is a Winchesplus.com unit. Honestly I haven't played with it much. 100% duty rating

Now that is an entrance right there. I would be scared to get tire marks on the driveway while turning around haha. I def don't have 2.5k to drop on a winch but maybe one will pop up on Craigslist in my area
