Too cold for me to go outside today. Wanted nothing to do with it. Dogs went out, did their thing, and wanted right back in. Sun was out so the sun porch was nice and warm. I putted out there repotting plants and trimming some up.
Has anyone tried the free home delivery of stuff from WalMart? It says two day delivery for orders over 35. Do they use USPS or UPS? I have been finding the delivery of thing more convenient than lugging things like dog food and cat litter. Sometimes, those heavy things just make it too much. Most things I want I can wait 2 days without a problem. Walmart pricing without Walmart problems i.e. parking and long lines. Should also help control some of that impulse buying.

the other night i had a second auger bridge. 60 degrees at 2 am. got it going, but was thinking i needed to investigate further. I figured there were fines collected around the auger opening from several tons (i cant remember when i actually completely emptied the hopper) so today with the weather it was not going to take long. found lots of accumulated fines, fireworks everywhere! ran the hopper down until i could see the auger with nothing clinging, and refilled. I think i'll need to do that occasionally.

60 lbs of pellets in 18 hours, gonna be a 2 bagger today!

Mine is after 5, and sometimes after 5:30. During Thanksgiving thru about mid January it is between 6 and 7 pm. I get skipped in the line of mailboxes so my neighbors get theirs a couple hours before I do. I guess my mailbox is their cue to turn (I'm at the top of a "T"), that's why it is here so late.

Course if they did it in the order they are "supposed" to, I would get mine first, they would make their turn go thru the 4 block x by 4 block section, then come down the road and deliver my neighbor's mail - then go along the rest of the route. Actually, I can tell when there is a sub, because that is exactly what happens.

Spent the first half of today fighting the cold and wind to haul 3 ton of pellets home from Joe@Bucks Pellets. Met Steve "Slvrblkk"at Bucks this morning, nice to finally put a face to the name.:handshake:.

The wife and I decided since the kids have all recently moved out, it was time to downsize to 2 vehicles instead of 3. Stopped at a local dealer and worked out a deal to trade in 2 for a new 2017 Nissan Frontier. Then took my honey out for supper!

I think Joe is whipped after hand loading in that wind all day! Pick up the new truck on Monday. With my current stash, I won't get to haul any for a few years:whistle:

I don't know who they're using but rumor has it they are in negotiations with USPS to get the same deal Amazon has.

I run my hopper empty a couple of times a month for that reason. Never had a problem.

Yup, I run mine to empty but it isn't intentional. Just sort of happens. Glad I don't do the same with the car.

Spent 4 hours cleaning the stoves today what a difference it makes ! Flicking oil burner ran almost non stop as the wind was relentless and it is dang cold out Both stoves are cranking and chewing up some pellets, going to have to grab some more tomorrow. Just took the dog out and the fricking wind is cranking up even more, not good for the old house actually the worst combo wind and cold ! Was kinda nice during the warm spell and look forward to the warm up next week. Guess can't complain with the mild winter we have had oh wait a minute I just did. Stay warm guys and gals

Same here. Gotta love the Harman for being able to adjust to need. Only thing I could see to improve it would be a fuel gage.
