    I had to drive the van straight in the portable garage plowing snow inside it:confused:
    I couldn't stop or I would of been stuck.

    Heading down to the RV show in Syracuse today. Just getting an education started. I actually know what trailer manufacturers I'm interested in and they won't be there. I'm going to look for the fatal flaws in the models produced by the others so when I actually get to see the models I perceive I want, they had better live up to my expectations. I've invested quite a bit of time learning the manufacturers spin phrases for how they skim past their deficiencies. Time to test the water...

    I've had travel trailers since the 70's. good luck with all of them, but in those days they were all built heavy. now, you have to be much more careful with some of these ultralights. I have a 30' rear lounge Solaire by Forest River now going on 5 seasons, very happy with it. we use it 10 or 12 weekends and a couple of week long trips every year. had an 27 R-Vision Maxlite before that.

    regardless of what trailer you get, plan on customizing and making modifications. manufacturers leave wasted space, don't install devices to hold items on shelves, and things that leave you scratching your head "why did they do that?"

    one thing i've noticed, every trailer i buy gets bigger! and if you buy a stronger truck, a new bigger trailer will soon be in the driveway!

    savemoney, any company that is based in the USA MUST have cust. service personnel that is actually IN the US. If you ever have a problem w/ an "overseas" rep, simply ask them to transfer you to someone that is IN the US. They HAVE to do it.
