Just think, if people wouldn't post politically-charged garbage on some posts, we wouldn't have to lock threads down.....

Imagine that for a moment.

 

But Scotty Overkill there are some times one gets accused of posting something political, yet, looking strongly at the post, one has to wonder what made the moderator think there was anything there about politics. Same goes for racial. Perhaps some moderators need to think a little bit for themselves too. And I speak for nobody here but myself and as you know I had a recent post throttled and still do not understand why.

 

It's a tumultuous time in American history, and the party lines are deep and bitter. We do our best to keep all of that chit out of here, some people love to poke the nest......constantly.

And some posts are borderline (by their nature) political.

We started this place to get away from that garbage, and some like to try and post it here. No one is blaming any one person, as a whole if we (the entire group of moderators /admins) think a thread needs locked down, that's what we do. It's nothing personal guys.

 

Im not siding, provoking, or any other such action....
But when a picture of "Looting" which depicts the act, actually contains two folks of an ethnicity, and two of another ethnicity, it is neither political nor racial. Heck- these individuals met in the middle....no clearer picture of a strange unity, no matter what we could think about it, or opinionize.
Again, this is my $.02.
Agreement, that in some posts that were certainly blasting past the fringe, including the meme types that had full out unacceptable language printed on them, as far as the rules and practice of posting on the forums goes, right? Anyone who wants to express themselves as such changes at least one letter, but a few of them memes where honestly too far beyond what we all agree to in the "Terms of Use".... aaaaand.....I'm guilty of hitting the ole "like" button on many of them.

 

Don't forget "donate a chit-ton of your personal time to deal with a ton of childish bullchit". Because that's what we do......

I know it sure is easy to whip up a ton of butthurt whenever something is done opposite to these posts.......

 

Exactly. Some guys seem to lose sight of the fact that, unlike some other sites, everything here is VOLUNTARILY done......hence no advertising, no bullcrap, and believe me it ain't easy.....

 

Again, you are taking it personal. And we've gone out of our way to NOT do so.

It's a two-way street. We're trying to keep the peace (VOLUNTARILY, ON OUR TIME) on a group of thousands of people from all walks of life, all different political backgrounds, different countries and regions......and we're the azzholes.....
