Just sold off a ton today (to dad) I will be buying 3 ton here soon. I have 65 bags of Prestos in the basement and about 60 of Somersets in the garage. Last year I only burned just over 2 ton, so I don't really need any, but I like to always stay ahead a little... And yes. Those are very neat Save$ Here is what one stack looked like last year, there is only 25 bags of Presto's left, and 30 more in the closet behind that door with the mirror. This stack will look the same this year, but all will be Somersets, and maybe some Greene Teams .
damm Jay, you might be right!!! lol I see some very nice pellets in the stash. Where did you get the Phoenix from and how did they burn? Never saw those before.
The Phoenix are like 4 seasons old. Energex switch grass wood bark mix. I scored them at BT. Burn pretty hot, But dirty as heck though. SO I just throw a scoop in here and there when I burn corn(helps with the clinkers). Or mix some with my shoulder stuff to get a lil more heat. I won't miss them once they are gone.
Analogy so the Phoenix are like some rot gut whiskey you got a nice buzz going but you want lil more Next day WTF did I do
Well, in my above response,?, I trim them once every 3-4 weeks. Some of it is hereditary though. I guess.
