This 24" bar on the CS 680 was put through a work out this morning. And so was I! This length bar is really nice for stumpin!

A super nice S.S. gift two Christmas ago with a chain!

I think I cut a total of about fifteen stumps down in 3 hours this morning. Took a few breaks. It was quite a work out! I tired. Time for lunch!

After just a few stumps I changed out the blade to a new one. Time to get the original and one other sharpened. The new one was cutting through the spruce real nice!

And a few more. This gets these stumps out of the way of the gates for the wife and kids with the horses.

After lunch I'll get the 3550 going and pick all these stumps up with the grapple and pile them to be burned in the future. Then I'll switch to the bucket and see if I can use the 75B backhoe to dig out some clay. I have about five dump truck loads left from the barn project. Then if I can get some of that loosened up I'll bring it down here and fill in from the camp road, behind the two gates, and bring it right through the gates and into the pasture with a ramp.

Some more work to the area done. I picked up all the stumps with the grapple and piled them for a fire.
IMG_2777.JPG We have a lot of sticks still to burn up so I will see if I can get some of them on there tomorrow.

Good thing I have Ag tires, wouldn't be touching this until things dried out if I didn't.

Created a base for the apron from road to pasture and through the gate here. Eventually some decent topsoil will cover this clay.

A couple of buckets put in at this gate as well.

After the mess I made of the tractor I realized I should have waited though!:rofl:

Oh well. A barn queen she isn't!

But I should have take the backhoe off, the clay got all mucked up in and around it. I didn't realize it until I got back to the barn. I'm going to have to give it a serious bath.

You won't need a pressure washer. A shovel ought to work fine.

It is time to park the tractor somewhere I don't care about a clay messy blob, get comfortable temperature wise and run the hose on it for a loooooooong time. It's going to be warm tomorrow so I'll get it done while I can.
