I decided I'm done doing my nights and weekends with the wood stove for the year, so I uncovered my stacks, cleaned up the crap around them, vacuumed out the stove and said "see you next fall". Pellet stove is on room temp and ready to go if it ever gets cold enough!

Less than a cord of wood, a ton of pellets and maybe 50 gallons of heating oil has been one easy winter.....so far!

Going to get cold again this next weekend. But you have your pellet stove and oil to use so you won't have to mess up the wood stove. Just remember, look at the calendar, Winter isn't over.

Wish we had more bats here. They do a number on the bugs. Bats have some sort of disease that is wiping them out by the thousands. I suspect these events have been going on since the dawn of time. Sort of like the locus invasions etc. I won't use poisons or herbicides because I don't want to upset the balance of nature. Have you considered hanging some bags of garlic up there where the bats are? I set some garlic in my garden and got rid of the ground hogs. They just go somewhere else. Peppermint oil is also used to drive away bugs. Maybe bats won't like it.

Going out to get my taxes done today. Wish me luck! I've been going to H&R for years and having them done by the same person. We can't itemize because we don't have enough to off set the standard deduction. That is what happens when you get old and retired. I would do them myself, but fearful of making a mistake. We are only there for a couple minutes and they are done. Still cost a couple hundred to have done. I was told I could get them done at the senior center, but they don't have any spots left open. Looks like if I want to have them do it, I need to make my appointment right after Christmas. I always waited until I have all my information, but I guess I should be more proactive. -

Newegg was a bit better years back when they were more mainly pc components and such. They've turned a bit more into an "Amazonish" site it it's still a great site IMO.

Welp, after 9 years of delivery I am told driveway is too long for winter time with the super light rear wheel drive cracker boxes the carriers drive. That is much different than the mailbox is blocked. The reason I didn't get the little package was the packaging apes at *zon went nuts with packing what would have easily fit in the mailbox with extra airbags in a very oversized box that you couldn't get in a lot of car trunks. Same thing with the cat kibble. The PO never left a slip at anytime including today so Tim had to talk to Standish this morning.

I asked it for it's green card and he ran for the border. The two neighbors are brothers, I'll see the wife this Wednesday. The diameter of the body was less than 2 inches, the body was about 8 inches long with another 5 for the tail?? BTW the chicken coop smelled a bit like skunk? I'm assuming mother nature wouldn't have an all white version of something here, maybe in Ivanhoe's surroundings. All white wouldn't last long with the Coy Dogs, hawks and the Eagle flying overhead. We've had the snow owls appear in winter and nail a rabbit out back, that's neat to see.

I'll see how tonight goes, if another one tries to take a chicken dinner, I'll set a trap.

Update, taxes done and sent in cost $220 to have them done at H&R. Getting a refund. :rootintootin:. Only took a few minutes. I had sent in my data as a PDF. I should learn to do them myself. I am afraid of getting flagged for an audit. Nothing to hide. All I have are the W 2s, no itemizing.

Mother nature does in fact have a white skunky weasel and guess what I'm sure they are in your area. We have them here as well. Pet ferrets are gland removal survivors.

Ever thought about using a tax software? We've been sing TurboTax for years. Costs about 65 bucks.

    Holy chit!

These tax softwares question any questionable entries. They're pretty easy to use, especially if you don't itemize. We don't itemize either.

Well it just so happens that Lowes can send one that might do it for about $1500.00 you'd want to plow blade proof it before you set it.
