Well I cancelled my trip to Hayward today. Almost all my 8 hour route up would have been through areas with blizzard warnings. I may be stoopid, but I'm not crazy....or is it the other way around? :)

A stop in Potsdam on the way home so the girls can pick up something they need at the Northern Ice and Dance store.

Sergi's down the street has a small reserved parking sign out in front . What does it say.....? Reserved for thewoodlands !:picard:

Another quick walk outside today. I was down by the dam in the "big city" and there was a slight rain off and on. I kept hearing thunder.? But I was doubting my hearing, it just didn't seem right. And it wasn't .
    IMG_2742.JPG

It turned out it was sheets of ice dropping over the dam on the far side. I missed getting a shot of any dropping over. But it was cool to see it and hear the "thunder".

toyota corolla. thing just keeps running and running!

Got home over an hour ago. Had a real nice visit/meal. About 8" here since we left this a.m. still coming down.

Driving was OK but the roads in Marquette were slick ice black snot slippery stuff and there is always that one idiot that thinks they know better than the rest and ends up involving at least one other car.....Saw about 4 of those accidents right in Marquette!

Went through a couple areas where there was a squall going on at the time but just slowed down and all was good.

Probably a good thing you did. Err on the side of caution....I get the feeling that the crowd up there this weekend are just not your normal common sense drivers!

Tonight Show is on here. I think Mandy Moore has her dress on backwards. Somebody shape and support those poor things!

Cold Pepsi going in. Time to move some more wood in today at some point. The colder temps will be returning sooner than later. Looks like rain most of the afternoon and evening so I will find some inside fun to do.

Made a trip over to a place that sells take off beds and other truck parts in western Ohio yesterday with my dad. I ended up getting a "cut cab" for my f350 Super Duty. I was going to buy cab corners, rockers and floor pans this spring. I bought everything I needed for 150.00.

Today is 4-H Shooting Sports registration, then I hope to get to work on a couple saws that have been waiting on parts and spare time.

These are take offs from some .Gov conversion. They cut the windshield support about half way down and cut across the floor from rocker to rocker about three inches behind the door hinge support. Basically removing the firewall. I'll try to remember to post a pic later.

If you have the tools/ability, its sounds like a great score!
