ivanhoe , are you recording OAK / Intake air temps. also? That will affect -> be a factor in the Heat Exchange (aka "room air") temps. you see.. (At least it is here.)

Yes with OAK and usually colder outside temps, was -7*C(19.5*F) this morning and -5*C (24*F)now.

    Eagle Valley's 145*F Somewhat disappointed!
    Spuce Pointe's 158*F Nice!
Cubex's 158*F Caught me by surprise. Just took a reading and we are overheated in the house(82.5*F). No more tests until I get my hands on LG Satisfaction's & Maximum's.
Not impressed with the Force's unless it needs to be dialed in better.
Ash content is not part of my testing just distribution air temps.

Very nice on the Cubex , co-workers are also very happy w/ them this season, another very consistent pellet. I'm guessing your current settings are allowing for nice secondary combustion w/ the Cubex, those settings are a keeper.

re: Eagle Valley's - really needed to kick up combustion air on the CF Pacifics here: they were glowing very bright, (white tips on the edges) to get the best heat from them.. (They like to burn really hot in the small stove here, almost to the point of over-firing.)

Edit: we're having really good results w/ the LG Satisfaction pellets again this season, w/ combustion air dialed up a bit: burn pot is staying nice and clean, very good to excellent heat output.

Yes, settings can make a world of difference. I will retry the low temp pellets with more air to see what gives:whistle: Maybe tonight, I need to retry the Force's before my next run of hoarding(Tuesday). I need to construct a bar graph for my air intake on the furnace. Thinking along the lines of a mechanical pivot arm raised to the hopper level for better visualization and operation:smoke:Brain is always tinkering...............:loco:

Might be a little 'overkill' for the air intake gate though. Or maybe not..

I tried the increased air on the Force's but no extra heat output. Mmmmm, got to figure what's wrong(probably didn't warrant enough time between adjustments, figured about a hour would suffice).

As long as the 50F was up to operating temp., you should have seen a +/- change way sooner than that - takes 10 secs. to start seeing movement, and about a minute to stabilize temp. reading here.

I've lowered the air and got a high of 153*F on the Force. For the money I think the Logic-ê are a better buy. Will be trying to snatch 3t tomorrow if all goes well. There's a new pellet plant Bionorth in one of our old lumber mill site not far from me and will be checking out this Friday.

Placed a order of 80 bags of Logik-ê using a 15% discount. Canadian deals are hard to come by:doh:
I know, a far cry from 3t. Have to pick-up a ways away and not locally(corporate & individual stores deal differently):loco:
I could see more beer & wine in the crystal ball:whistle:
Canawick's temps didn't increase with more or less air:emb:

I visited the BioNorth plant but no tour until April, too busy at this moment as I was told. Walked away with two sample bags :smoke:one is mix of HWD/SWD and the other is SWD. I will update on temps when i get around to it. The Lacrete's in the pic is rip bag discounters. I check weekly for cheap stock:D
