You can keep that weight much more easily by keeping the amount of carbs down. If you like bread and pasta the way I do that can be difficult. But well worth it for your health. I am now trying to eat 1/2 of the carbs that I have been over the last three months. It's time to start gearing up for my running season. More walking is needed. Then ease into the running. I need to drop 10-15 pounds over the next 2-3 weeks.

Go for it Gasifier , my wife informed me during supper that I've been on this weight loss thing for seven weeks.

I had two turkey burgers (no bread) a salad, hot pepper rings and a bowl of white bean soup, I'm all powered up again!

It is very important, for our energy level and our health, that when we cut back on the amount of food we eat we be sure that what is remaining that we ARE eating is healthy, nutritious food. If we do not, our energy level goes down, which makes it harder to keep doing all the normal work we do, and do our work outs. And if we do not, our immune system can also become less efficient/successful. I have to force myself to eat healthy sometimes, because the junk food can be sooooo tasty!:picard:

that is the right way to do it. My doctor said, Food needs to have had eyes or be green. That works, but very hard to stick to. I have bacon and eggs for breakfast nearly every day and have lost 42 lbs in 5 months. NO bread, pasta, rice, no sugar or sweets. Fruits limited to 2-3 daily. Natural fats like what is on meat is ok. avoid processed food, esp. processed fats. I eat until I AM CONTENT. I still loose weight. I exercise by swimming in a heated pool for about an hour 4 times weekly. Plus, I am 70, and retired. I still am way over weight, but this plan is working really well for me. One other thing. I only step on the scales once a week. I don't want a diet and my weight to be an obsession. I need a plan I can live for the rest of my stay on this earth.
