I did three quick loads of pine needles today, not sure if I'll do any tomorrow but I will be packing this area down. I might take one load on my way back in tomorrow, the very top needs another load.
Looks like a perfect pile to sleep in after that work. Nice work keeping things tidy and maintaining your trails. I started dropping splitter tailings on the trails. Only a few feet at a time, with a total of maybe 10 feet. The wife raked it all up. I need pine needles round here.
It's a perfect size for the trails I run, you don't want to throw the wood in, especially in the winter time. With the wide tires it's nice in the winter time in the snow.
http://www.rescraft.com/#!home/mainPage The above link is the company that makes them, the name is the Bush Burro. I don't see it on the site.
I did two more loads of pine needles before I started hauling & stacking some cherry, these two loads went on the very top of the trail.
It's much better, after I dumped the pine needles on the trail I hauled this rotten hemlock to the wood dump, I think it came down across the trail last winter. Making sure the trails are clean enough (wide enough too) for the sleds will be my next job, I'll start that this week.
Come on up here. With 21 mature white pines on a one acre lawn I can give you a tri-axle load and believe me, I would love to............
Hey woody. We had a load of wood chips and I hadn't got around to moving them yet. A couple days ago a friend pulled in with his skid steer. Made short work of that pile!
That is very nice. My neighbor down the road who has some chips (not going to use them) said take the Kubota so it will take less time fixing your trail, I said thanks for the offer but no! I did take two loads in the tub behind the Rhino.
After the hard rain we received today, I was wondering if the pine needles stayed put so I took a run down in the rhino, yes they did.
I had my doubts after we had the hard rain, I'll extend the pine needle bed to the gate. Each run in, I'll take a load of pine needles back in.
I'll show the boss these pics, I've been telling her that the small ones should go so the bigger trees will grow. It also will open up the trails better in the winter.
