It was a good wood gathering weekend, a neighbor was clearing some fence line, so me and another neighbor helped him out! Monday he dropped off his manure spreader full of wood so I could empty it for him for this weekend, so I got that, another spreader full for the weekend and 4 heaping long box pick up loads! The other neighbor got a spreader load and 2 or 3 pick up boxes, and the guy clearing his lines only wanted one spreader full. Species mixed from a little oak, lots of box elder, lots of bass wood, a little cherry and a lot of elm. So I'm feeling very accomplished for the weekend!!
Heck yes, this replaces everything I've burned this year! Couple more pick up loads and I'll be working on wood for 18/19. And the 372xp got some gas run through it so I'm a happy camper!
I think they water the logs to stop bugs from eating the wood. also to prevent fires. just think how hard it would be to stop a fire in the middle of the pile...
I don't want to excite the female members here too much so I refuse to answer the question. Got wood?
If the weather holds up I'll be getting even more this weekend! This is huge in getting me on track for the 3 year plan!
Funny you should ask...I'll be getting some wood tomorrow afternoon....and I've taken a half day off from work to work on it!!
