Sweet Greg! I'm sure it was awesome to get out and get a good sweat going in February. Still a bit soft around here, but the warm temp.'s and wind are drying things up quickly. I hope to be out soon. Nice work!!
Seems everyone in the Midwest and Northeast ate cleaning up dead and dying ash. Such a huge loss to humanity. But at least is great fuel so it's not a total loss.
It was a dry reception... I took some pics of my wife. They had their own photographer. Got it up to the splitter yet Greg?
Energy is neither created nor destroyed, it merely changes form. Today's trees are tomorrow's firewood. Tomorrow's firewood is next week's compost additive. Still sad to see all those majestic trees coming down.
Ground pretty soggy still, so think I will wait for some dryer ground or maybe a little freeze It is not usually 68 degrees around Presidents' Day here!
About the chipper, I've been curious, because I love heat and hate seeing wood just waste (I know it's compost but I just go crazy seeing it rot when it could heat my house) seeing as a lot of that material that would be chipped up would be fairly dry, would it be a bad idea to chip it and throw it right into a wood burner? A boiler would be best I suppose because of the mess, but am I crazy for thinking that?????
