Good afternoon everyone. Well after more research I went today and bought a new MS261C. They had it in stock but it was setup for .325 chain and I wanted .375 but they didn't have the sprocket to change over. I will pick up Monday and will have pics. Worst part is I cant get to woods to try it out right now with waist deep snow. I got it with a 16" bar so it should be a fun saw to run.
Sweet, can't wait to see the pictures Looking forward to hearing how you like it once you can actually cut wood!
a Pic to Drool over until yours is ready. With some discussions lately on bar & chain size, wondering why you went 3/8 (.375) ? Shovel some snow, you are gonna want to do a test drive LOL
The only reason was just to keep everything on the same size chain. The last thing I need is another file size to keep track of LOL. I had some logs here but got bored last week and cut them up.
I picked up a slightly used one last fall for my BIL to be. Sweet package for sure. He's hardly used it, too dang much snow, but he's chomping at the bit. I'm a little jealous. Okay, a lot. Congrats on the new babay.
The 261's are fantastic saws. Good runners, build quality is second to none. As much as I don't mind "tuning", the new A/T / M-tronic is the way to go!
Congrats... That's a very nice saw. Sorry to hear about the snow Personally, I would have went with 3/8" as well. Don't like to change up my chain sharpening set-up. I want everything 3/8".
+1 I've thought about buying a reel of chain, one size would make the most sense for me. 3/8 X .050 chains , seem to have more selection & availability for off the shelf loops + I like a bigger kerf for my style of cutting too, RS or LGX. Maybe I just like seeing lots of big chips fly when I'm cutting Waiting for the performance report & real pictures. What Chain type is it coming with ? ( RS or the RS3 )
