    Wow Brian, what a wild turn of events!! Good on you for bracing up that awning and clearing the roof.....

    All snow here in the central PA mountains, looks like we ended up with around 9-10" on top of the 4-5" of snowpack we had already, and now they are saying another 2-4" tomorrow night into Saturday! Plenty of snow to play in!!

    I probably go out Saturday and start harvesting wood for the maple syrup evaporator, I have a gadget I'm working on that will allow me to take action movies with my Samsung S4.......maybe I'll be able to give it a "test drive".........

    Charity cut scheduled for Monday may have to be postponed due to snowpack, we see what the guys involved think......

    Storm totals around 19". Layers of sleet and ice on top of an additional 4" last night. Clipper tonight, a measley 1"-3"

    Wet heavy snow here, but my son in law came over and dug us out. So fortunate to have that done. Now I had a warning that a clipper is coming across and should be here tomorrow night, (Saturday) and gone Sunday morning after leaving a foot of snow. He liked my metal scoop shovel so I bought him one for his house. Best shovel I know of. [​IMG]

    Tractor supply has them, about $20. Couldn't find them on their web site. The ones at TS have a plastic handle but easily stand up to the snow. I like the lightness of it. I think they are aluminum. They cut right into that wet snow and have a good balance. You can find them with the scoop made of plastic, but I don't want anything that cracks when it gets cold. I can keep a good edge on the metal one.

    to the stacks.jpg Had to shovel my way to the stacks today since what I had in the wood shed usually lasts me all winter, but was getting low. Wanted to haul some more in to the wood shed while it was nice outside..... Cold but sunny. Good thing I did. Path is almost snowed back in.
