... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 7 am Wednesday to 10 am
EST Thursday...

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Storm
Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect from 7 am Wednesday
to 10 am EST Thursday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in
effect.

* Hazard types... heavy snow.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches.

* Timing... snow will begin Wednesday morning but may mix with rain
for a time near the Maine Turnpike during the day. Any mix will
change back to snow and become heavy at times in the evening and
continue into Thursday morning.

* Impacts... travel will become difficult due to snow covered roads
Wednesday into Thursday. Isolated power outages are possible due
to falling limbs from the weight of snow.

* Winds... northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times.

* Temperatures... in the mid 20s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Small Craft
Advisory... which is in effect from 7 am to 7 PM EST Wednesday.

* Winds... southeast 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt.

* Seas... 3 to 6 feet.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 25 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners... especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

Its one of those forecasts that ends with "if the front sets up 25-50 miles either direction could have a major impact on you know what fall". I hate those forecasts

found out it was Valentines day this morning when my honey gave me a card...

all is good, since we spent the day together....bright blue sky, near perfect ski/snow conditions, a nice lunch, and après ski drinks on the deck overlooking the Aspen Open Competition at the base of Buttermilk - site of the Xgames (those skiers that go over the jumps doing flips and such...and crashing sometimes ( I like that part)) last ski day for the year but there's always next year to look forward to. I missed all that snow back home, and my son did the snow blower dance on my driveway, checked on the cat, oil burner is on, etc., so all is good! fly tomorrow - car is in valet parking, so they get to clean it off!

Naw. I hate Florida and Arizona has poisonous snakes. I'm good here.

 

I hereby cancel tomorrow's skiing lessons due to lack of interest.

 

I like your map better than the ones up here. Not much of a difference but enough. 2 inches higher up here. (careful Will)

Watching that's all I'd be doing too like me skis on the snow not air borne that's an awesome view from that trail

 

I always skip the dessert and order another Beer or maybe an Irish Coffee
