I would like to hear if the cardiologist confirms the PA'system observations. If he does, you need to insist on a complete work up. In the interim, please, no shoveling.

Welcome to our clan. Sorry about your Gramps passing. I'm a Nam Vet also. A little crazy, but still manage to get out of the bed every day. My son-inlaw served in Afghanistan (national guard) and is going back there this July.

Hope all up north of us are doing OK. We only got another inch over night. Left a bit early expecting bad roads. but they were fine. Chugged along at 60 MPH and most were doing the same.. Joey got yet another day off from school. He might get out in July if this keeps up. Momma's happy because she won't worry about him driving.

Wind is brutal and storm warning goes until 7:00 PM tonight. I guess its gonna spit and sputter about all day........

    Take care everyone!!

Went out to snow blow at 4 AM. Got done shortly after 5 and got in just in time to hear the governor was asking people to stay home and off the roads if possible. Who am I to go against the Gov's wishes? Logged into work from home. Sent an email to the 8-10 people who it would directly affect, and haven't heard anything back yet, even from my boss who is usually in 6-6:30 (and always answers with an "OK", or "thanks").

No wind yet. and since no one has sent me any work to do - I've got everything done that was sent Friday after I left work - I think I'll go take a nap

The radar shows the storm just dumping snow in ME, heavy bands through your area. Stay safe up there StEarl

Winds are really picking up here, plows have gone up the road, time to get to it outside.. And check the generator, just in case.

Thanks, CleanFire. I'm inside now after the first round. cleared the shed roof three or four times, ran the snowblower on the drive and my neighbor's as well. Dug out our friend across the street.
I raked the roof as well. A big flat roofed building in town collapsed. It's been vacant, so i assume there was a lot of built up ice from melt refreeze. Interestingly, a group in town is applying for a grant to tear it down and do a greenspace there.

Oh yeah, we definitely win -

Looks like we have some nice weather coming for the long weekend. Sunny starting Friday and daytime 40s all weekend, in fact 40s starting Saturday and thru most of next week. Hope that forecast holds.

Sub, I had the lawn mowed this past summer and am having the snow plowed this winter. Have someone else do yours.

Stay safe in that snow guys I would have gladly taken it for you.

Thanks for the tape info I think I will do the aluminum tape as it will blend in with the silver piping better.

Hoping so TT - sure doesn't feel like it today outside, here. :shiver:

Looks like between 8" - 10" total, but with the wind whipping around, who knows. * Plenty on the roof though, always seems like more there, than on the ground. Heading back out for round 2.. :coffee: and watch the trees swaying around in the wind. :picard:

That will work. Right after I took that pic, I painted all the tape Hi-Heat flat black.......sticks well.

The pipe started life as silver, but I pickled the galvanized exterior and sprayed a couple coats of semi-gloss BBQ paint on it.....looked great even after years of use.
