Yep, had water just before dark with a boil advisory. The town mait. guy dropped off a case and 2 gal. of water. Water from the tap was stained for a couple gallons, but it seems all is well.
The front yard is is a muddy wreck with barricades and yellow caution tape. Hunks of busted asphalt and gravel was used for fill and still a good hole out there. The town mait. guy says he left room for top soil but it may be a while for "topping things off" because of weather. I aint busting his backs over it, yet. The ground is frozen a good 18 inches, and he's a good guy. We're a small rural town of about 200 houses. I've been out here for 18 years or so we all get along okay. They ( couple of town elders) have ask me to become a member of the town board a couple times in the past, which I graciously declined.

I thought you had water when you said they were back filling. Glad you have water, don't need you stinking things up.

Hi, I'm new here, and just wanted to say Hi...! I am uncurable chain saw hoarder. I trade them, fix them up and sell
a few. try to make an extra buck or two here and there. I am a die-hard Jonny-Red Man, but I collect all brands.
    Jonsered:
    920 Super 42inb ~ 910 36inb ~ 2182 26inb ~ 2171 24inb ~ 621 18inb ~ 2159 20inb ~ 2054 18inb ~ 535 16inb..., and
a host of other brands, Mac, Homelite, Old Pouland (before Poulan became plastic junk) Olympic, Sachs, Remington
etc, etc. Oregon Pro chain grinder, and I can't forget Miss Bernice, that's my old 1990 Dodge D-250 wood hauler...
1981 King wood stove in the house and an old Atlanta Homesteader stove in my shop. I burn
6 to 7 cords per year between the house and shop.

    Howdy Paul!! Welcome to FHC!!

Glad to have another chainsaw enthusiast!

You mention a J-red 920. I was just offered one with a 24" bar. I believe they were 80+ cc machines. What is a good price for one in g
    decent shape?

Thanks for the great welcome, sorry I haven't responded sooner. We've had sickness in the family, all is well now.
The 920 Jonsered is a 87cc & 5.3 cu. in. saw. Beside my personal '920' which I use when cutting the good stuff
like shaggy-bark hickory, I sold one back in Nov. 2013 in better than average shape with a 22 inch bar for $350.00
super tuned and ready for the woods. The fellow I sold it to snached it up and didn't blink an eye. They are getting
harder to find in decent shape. Should I ever have another one for sale, I will post it here.

Thanks. I just had one offered to me. It was a trade. What I wanted to trade for was worth $450. I am glad I took the cash, but I still want the saw.. :) I still have his number and I know he wants to sell it..

    Sidetrack over...

Hello my name is Kent/chevychase. From Virginia South western part,Mountains. Pallet Pete the great guy he is, turned me onto this site!!
I do construction work for a living. Been curious about what a person can do with pallets.
I have built a few things , will check /read all out then ask some questions.
Seems most pallets around here are popular?

I know some of these pallets are a pita to take apart!!

You know when you are at a perfectly good dinner party and you leave to use the restroom and hear music coming from another room so you sneak in and realize that you know a bunch of people from the dinner party there? Your response is " What the.... Hey!? Weren't you just at the......"
That's about how I feel right now!
Thanks for not inviting me! I had to use Google to find this party. Oh well, glad to be here.

    Anyway, I'm Jason.
I am a wood carver, cutter, splitter/stacker, burner type. This thing is starting to become a sickness maybe? I don't care, I like it.
I also like fishing, sailing, music. snowmobiling, Archery, camping, outdoorsy stuff, blah blah blah.
I'm glad to find resources like this to enable help me!
