Charlie, http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/forums/index.php?members/charlie.100/we'll miss you buddy, you were the kindest most generous person I have met, you were always willing to take the time to help someone with a kind word, a hand out or a hand up, or some advice on how to cut wood, burn a stove and stay warm. You Blessed me with your friendship. Although we never met face to face I count you as one of my closest friends. When we first met on the phone, you were calling me for a cookstove. Within 10 minutes I knew we'd be friends for life, we talked for hours, like we had known each other our entire lives. Life is too short and encounters like that too few. I chalk it up to the Supernatural, our paths were meant to cross, I have been thankful ever since. You had a hunger for knowledge and you were not afraid to step out of the box and think on your own. You wanted to soar like an Eagle instead of hanging with the Turkeys and soar you did! You loved to fly! Your zest for life was contagious, your willingness to share, inspiring. Few men these days inspire a man like me, but you did my friend. The beauty of this is, that your hunger for the Supernatural allowed us to share our stories. As I shared mine...... explaining the Miracles that I had witnessed in my life, as my life had be spared so many times in so many un-explainable, statistically impossible circumstances, I could no longer run from Almighty God, the Lord of Hosts, who had protected me from myself, my own worst enemy. I had come into the saving knowledge of a Power greater than myself. The God who became man and gave Himself that I could live life and life more abundantly. What greater love has a Friend than He lay down His life? Pretty heady stuff for a phone call between new friends, but in the end an appointment with Destiny. An appointment we must all make at some point in our lives. You embraced this knowledge like you embraced everything Charlie, with gusto. I loved to hear back from you, the experiences in your life as The Christ revealed Himself to you in a Supernatural way. Your time here was too short, but it was not wasted, you were not the wasteful type, you sowed much and reaped much, your joy was in sharing that abundant life that you had with anyone who would listen. You developed eyes that could see and ears that could hear, you learned to listen to that still soft voice and you looked for opportunities to share what you heard with anyone who would listen. Until we meet again my dear friend, may you soar with the rest of the Eagles in heaven awaiting the call of the trumpet and the Rider on the White Horse, with fire in His Eyes and a sword in His hand and we gather together again ready to do battle against the evil that grows and the darkness that descends upon this earth, the final battle, As an old warhorse like me, reflects back and wonders why my heart still pumps in-spite of everything, yet yours was stopped short, I am reminded that my ways are not His ways, I find the Peace of God to know that our time here is but a flash in the pan compared to eternity, your destiny has been fulfilled and you’re in a realm where few can comprehend. You crossed over on Saturday, February 8, 2014 quickly at your homestead where you were at the most peace; near those you love the most. We will all miss you Charlie, the world is a lesser place without you. Your friends will watch over your family and they will be lonely without you, but we will always be thankful that we were fortunate enough to have been your friends.
Oh Wow. Untimely to say the least. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He had so many really great posts put up and always gave out helpful advice on the stoves he was running. I am truly saddened to say the least. You will be missed Charlie. Thank you Woody for making us aware.
Wow that's very sad to hear, but thankful he was a Christian and is going to a better place. Will be praying for those left behind thank you for posting.
Very sorry to hear. Thank you Woody for letting us know. We will definitely miss Charlie and prayers for his family. RIP Charlie.
I was wondering why I hadn't "seen" him around here lately. From his posts and some pms he sent me I could tell what a great, wise and friendly guy he was. We lived very close to each other, but I never got to meet him, what a shame. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family.
Oh my......I just now found out about this and I'm in shock. .. Charlie was a great person, who had many convos with me over the past several years. He proclaimed himself as accepting Christ as his savior not long ago and I was so proud of him for that!! I'm at a loss for words right now as I am shocked to hear this......Rest in peace Charlie, you are most certainly in a better place...my heart goes out to him and his family.
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Thanks for letting us know Woody. Charlie will be missed.
