The way I look at it is if you are having problems with the weight of a saw just put less fuel and oil in it to lighten it up. That will also give you a break from the work a little quicker as well(I just said all that somewhere so please forgive me if it was here ). The way I look at it most people who are looking for the small amounts of savings you get from more economically priced products are not making money with them, but saving money. If your making money with a saw a hundred here or there doesn't really make or break the budget, if it does then you need to look at your current business model. Here's my lightweight 70cc saw set up with a stihl es lightweight bar(it's the same saw that was in the picture with my buddy cutting).
So, is that a 440 with an 044 cover, or an 044 with 440 tank and flywheel case half? Either way, it's a great setup...
I love this saw! Belonged to my wife's grandfather, her dad gave it to me recently. I just cleaned it up and put a new bar and chain on it and use it often, still has his name written on it.
Pretty sure it's an 044 with 440 tank/handle, it has a gilardoni cylinder. It doesn't have the MMWS cylinder on it any longer as that was scored by the previous owner, but it was ported by a buddy of mine. Maybe you can tell me something I'm missing though . It's a fun saw to run thats for sure. This was right after I got it back, pretty fat, but still fun even wearing a 24".
I would guess it's a 440 with an 044 top cover because it has a flippy cap on the oil tank as well, I'm assuming it has a decomp valve that is plugged under that top cover?
This cylinder is plugged, but the old one was not. This cylinder has around 20-30 tanks, and the saw has the same since a complete rebuild. I gave the MMWS cylinder to a buddy as it had some chrome peeling and my buddy didn't want to risk it who rebuilt it. I haven't talked to him lately, but he was going to put it on one of their work saws.
Please excuse the mess I was battling heavy rain and wind but had to get a picture before closing the door on my new hoard.
Yes I'm excited to see if they will run. They are all free. The fellow has same left that were duplicates of saws I already have.
That should make for some interesting projects. Like the Homelite and Husky I see there. I also see a concrete saw which is sometimes handy to have. You sure cannot beat free.
Free as in they turn over sorry wasn't thinking about it meaning I got them for nothing. I did get a really good deal on the lot it includes the 288xp I posted earlier. The husky is either an 1100cd or 2100cd and runs . The homelite did run but I haven't tried it. The concrete saw is a 3120k and I believe it was straight gassed but it will turn over just low compression.
