No accumulating snow for me. I must be lucky.

Satellite is my only option, have direct TV 4 rooms with dvr $80 month.

Use cell phones for the interweb.

You might be on to something but even the newer P38 had more modern controls than that one has.

    from the P38 manual

After a google search of "harman pellet stove with turbo feed rate". I see references of P38 and P43 so its likely a rather old model. The only issue there would be availability of parts and yeah Lousyweather might help out here.

Don't forget their Invincible models. But that looks like a manual mode P38.

Look into getting an ATT cell phone with your program. It cost a whole lot less that way. ATT isn't as good as Verizon or US cellular but it is decent. I think I'll do that for the second phone. I don't have a contrac

Since the firebox area on the P43 is about 2x larger vs. the small Francesca here, that's like comparing an Explorer to a Prius. :p

Running at 2.1 lb/hr was close to the limit for the stove here - the adhesive / stickers on the Dura Vent piping were starting to burn off. :(

Smoke Probe temp., just past the combustion blower, was 398 F : the (manufacturer) High Limit setting for the stove is 428 F.

Given the small firebox (and impeller) on the stove, it's possible to 'push' more fuel & air through the stove at higher rates, at the expense of (wasted) heat going up the flue.

    Temp. differential between Heat Exchange & exit Stack is approx. (90 F) at 1.6 lb/hr (most efficient) , it was (148 F) @ 2.1 lb/hr last night.

The stack temp. last night was concerning: I know the venting can handle it, but there are other real variables I can't control, e.g. high wind, auger feed variation, burn pot clogging / airflow through the firebox, etc. - all of which happen here.

Pulling off the side panels, cleaning and inspecting all components, and backing the stove down to 1.8 lb/hr today. * I'm not upset or disappointed w/ the results - Always Better to know the stove limits, vs. over-firing the stove.

I do wish we had better options here for a cellar dweller install option: heating from below is HUGE, efficiency-wise. But I'll be Thankful for what we have, and get my tired Pellet-Lugging, Beer-Swilling kiester in gear, and continue onward & forward w/ the 2nd stove install.

The venting you gave us is cleaning up nicely bogieb - between these parts, and the spares on-hand, we just need to purchase some longer straight pipes for the install.

    * That will be happening in the late Spring this year, gonna ride it out / not cutting into the roof this time of year: will be dragging the Englander out to the woodshed, when the reconditioning is finished, for testing. :shiver: Auger motors so far have tested good, and I haven't tripped a breaker or Zapped anything yet. :hair: Stay Tuned. :D

Talked to my Mom in Sunny FL this morning - she said it was 78 F, and cold today.. :picard: I feel like grabbing a Vulture, and flying South. :vulture:

Have a fun day all !

A warning to all pellet heads make certain your venting and OAK terminations remain above the snow line, this also goes for any boiler or furnace vents. The snow is going to get deep and it is going to be blown around. Blizzard conditions are forecast for Monday.

Whipped out and used the sn*w blower. Took longer to blow a path down the side of the raod we don't use in the winter. But still quicker than walking it around the block. Made short work of it. I'll do it again if we get swacked again......... Its 15 years old now and I don't think I've used it but 10 or 12 times? I'll be trading it in for brandy new maybe next season.........

    How'd ya guess.........

Still waiting for the sn*w to just stop so I can clean the driveway. I doubt that I will do around the house since we are now firmly in the 18-24 range that savemoney just posted.

Good advice from SmokeyTheBear on venting. One of the NH cities fire departments (Manchester I think) is doing a contest for posting your cleared venting pictures

I paid 139 for the 1500 in 2015. That one normally goes for like 220

    The 1350 is normally 180ish
