Went out to Tjim01 place today and checked out his setup as well as fixing the gasket issue on his ash pan and firebox door. We also preformed the mods to the burnpot and I suggested a few other items to check/preform while he is getting it back together.

With him only being about 25 minutes away, I'll go back once he has the stove back together and check out how all the new parts and mods are working!

He truly has a beautiful home and piece of property!

Thanks for having me! It was nice to meet you and your son! :)

Thanks for coming out - had a great time and appreciate all the help and tips. Looking forward to doing it again once the "pot's hot", lol!

There is a Farenheight F50 for sale on CL for $1400. Used 7 seasons, appears to be in fine shape and used by someone who was knowledgeable and took good care of it. Is that a good price? I know this stove can be used multiple ways (standard pellet stove style or ducted) but I assume it cannot be used with a hot water baseboard system, is that correct? Just curious.

Hot air only. But they are great units.

I love mine and we have 11 members here with the same unit. That's a record as far as Pellet furnaces go (same brand) for any Forum.

He had two pot assemblies (2nd Gen which is older than mine but still an updated version for yours). I'm not sure if this will fit in the cradle/receptacle on your generation stove? I only picked up the one to try in my stove or have some stainless parts made.

The only part the pot was missing is the top burn plate. But the one I have will fit this style pot.

The pusher assembly and the arm guide assembly were brand new.

ivanhoe can you take a few pics with the pot pieces out and take some measurements of the cradle?

He also hado a new ignitor that I picked up for cheap ($50).

The other pot is the same style as this one. He didn't have any doors (with or without airwash flapper).

I'd gladly send this out to have someone look at fabbing stainless parts. If someone with a first generation stove wanted to try it (if receptacle will allow)? I'd ship it for you to try. You'd need to get a top burn plate. Unless my BIL chbryson has an old one he could bring to me the next time he is out this way?

My extra plates I have are warped pretty good. I am really liking the one I had made out of cast. There has been no color (heat) variation to it and would bet it is still perfectly flat.

Furnace was running lazy yesterday, mmmmm! The burnpot was full of ashes, mmmmmm! Auto-clean pin sheared on my burnpot arm, mmmmmmm! By doing the tests on different pellets lately can be the cause. Running hot for extended amount of time could have created a buckle in the bottom fire burning plate on the burnpot frame assembly. I bent it back straight this summer so I in need of redoing it again. It was the cause of a noisy Auto-clean activation. In the early part of the fall it was so quiet and wasn't able to tell if it was working. So tomorrow is down time to reshape it back to normal. This summer will be redoing it with thicker stainless steel.
Dex, what measurements do you need? I will not be taking it out as far as I know.

The actual burn pot receptacle (once all your burn pot parts are out). A pic will help as well.

I plan on picking up my $400 Harman PF 100 pellet furnace is bought off of EBay next weekend.

My Fahrenheit may be for sale after the end of this season?

It's back on after I flatten the speed bump. Rev.G burnpot is what I have. Has Chbryson stove been updated to all newer components including control board?

Well, it's finally back together and running. Thanks Dex for the assist. It's only burning at 122.5 degrees, however on the TSC pellets I have. Air intake at about 1/4 open (tried more, but was worse). Auger and air trim at 3. Heat setting 5. You can see the flame burn in the video below. Excuse the chitty door glass - haven't replaced that yet lol, as I'll have to drill out all the screws and re-tap with a bottom-tap, which I don't have yet. Plan to pick up a few bags of Somerset pellets at Menards just to try. Any suggestions, let me know.

Yes, my BIL furnace has all the updated parts (pot, sail switch, exhaust blower, impeller, etc). I think the only part he is missing is the exhaust manifold

That's a great burn pattern! Still good airflow! Glad I could help! If you ever want me to come back out and have a few blue smoothies with you and look it over? Somersets should help the heat output a lot and you could probably close the air damper a little more to retain some more heat.

I just picked up a Harman PF 100 off of EBAY!! Not sure whether I will install it in the house and put the Fahrenheit in the garage? Or put the Harman in the garage? Or.....? But the Harman has a larger 3 speed distribution blower and it's 112,000 BTU! Pretty excited to get it. I just have to drive to WV to get it next weekend!

Not sure if you read that I got an extra pot assembly? If you wanted to use it as a guide to make some parts? I like my burn pot version. But I wish the bottom halves were one piece like this one. That would make it the best of both worlds.

Dex...I have templates for that pot type (mine is same)...but I really needed a pot frame to tinker with to fit the thicker burn pot I made...

If you had a spare one of your pots/door/pusher then I could start thinking about your type...
