Any idea what these run cost wise? No way I could build it. I'm sure I could come up with a winch attached to the trailer and a nice wide ramp much cheaper.
No idea how much that rig costs, but a buddy just got a nice used claw similar to that one for $3K. Attaches to his skidsteer.

Maybe he's working and not just sitting around talking about work or just goofing off on the computer like most of us? If it's cold up there he's probably wide open, able to get in all the wet spots and bogs.
I think they are closer to $20k There are lot's of cool options also, like the rear axles steering (hydraulically) to better navigate through the woods, hyd. driven assist wheels, and a hyd winch. Yeah they are fun to watch. I've seen videos of guys going through deep mud and getting stuck. Then they will engage the hydraulic drive on the trailer to help push them out. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
That "driven" option will also act as a brake coming down a grade. If you've ever done the trailer pucker going down hill with a heavy trlr. or wagon, you know what I'm saying
Watch Craigslist and auction sites. They are pricey though. The smaller unit is in the teens, while,the larger unit for a one ton pickup can be in the mid to high 20's. It would take hoarding to a new level
