    A trap was set in the bottom of our yard and the cat was caught. Unfortunately it won't be the only one to wander through our community.

    It is truly a tough and heart wrenching decision. Hopefully, time will ease the hurt on the young ones.

    If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about animals, then you don't have a heart or a brain. This is why I love my dogs so much. Their love is unconditional. Thanks for the post save money. All my dogs have been rescues, and they know it. Chief

    I go past the sign a few times a week. Met a customer yesterday that takes his dog there, and explained the dog day is a fun event during the warmer months when those come together with their dogs for a day of swimming in the pond. I haven't read through the website, but supposedly the founder's dog had passed, and wanted to create a memorial, and it has really grown since. Might have to meet over there this summer DaveGunter. It's about 45 min West of me.

    Wildcat Lila has....(drum roll).... become a house cat. She has not wanted to go outside alot of this winter (she was out sunrise to sundown most days this summer with more and more frequent checkin's ), she is now giving us direct eye contact, looking us in the eyes, and coming around for attention. She still sucker punches the dogs from atop a stool once in a while, but, well she's a cat.

    Sounds like she is becoming comfortable being a family member. And I am convinced that cats and dogs have an agreement that when humans are around they will act like they hate each other - or at least the cat is obliged to act like the dog is an enemy. Then, when the humans aren't around they are best buds (have actually seen this in action when they didn't know I had come upstairs).

    Pretty much the same story as my son and his girlfriend. Took it in from the cold and has become the purrfect house cat for his girlfriend....(not so much for him) and will also take cheap shots at their dog!
