Started here 0100 by 0400 several inches with the wind blowing it around, I made the call to work and it was the right call as many of the roads I travel on are closed because of accidents . Much better to be ssafe and warm at home than stuck in a traffic jam :coffee:

Weird, it was snowing at my place when I left for work at 4:40 this morning. True, it was small stuff and not at a heavy pace, but it was snowing enough that I thought the ground would be covered in new snow in a fairly short time.

I'm guessing for it to stop here by noon-1pm. Should be just enough time to get it all cleaned-up before dark. Here's hoping the leaf blower will take care of a lot of it, since the temps are in the 20's.

The female & male red-bellied 'peckers were here too, but they're so skittish I missed getting a pic. Lots of chick-a dee's, tufted tit mice, and nut hatches too.

Most media is encoded and you have to use a codec to decode it and then something to to render it (make it something you can sense) things like music get encoded as MP3 or OGG files, MP3 is legally encumbered, OGG isn't. So my favorite Linux distribution can play (render) OGG but not MP3 files. Most (but not all) internet radio streams in MP3 format. Kodi was just sitting there producing silence on MP3 streams, so I had to find a codec that would handle MP3s. Once that was done I could hear my Internet radio stations (sort of). There are many multimedia file formats. It can take awhile to run them down and get things back working, then you can work with the multiple stream formats that have part of their content in one format and the rest in other formats. Now my favorite player is not Kodi it is VLC (beta version). Kodi can work with some formats but VLC needs things a little bit differently so while files may be rendered by Kodi it doesn't mean they will play in VLC. It is just enough different that it means more work for me to clean up.
