I I'd take that dam saw back and throw it on the counter and tell them I want my money back or trade for a 372xp! This is just stupid, that A the saw is giving you this much trouble to begin with, and B that they have now "fixed" it twice and returned you the saw, to have not fixed anything! They clearly did not test it well enough. This is the kind of stuff that drives me crazy. I don't have patience for shops that just try to get you out of there and get your money but don't fix the issue. There is a chevy dealer that wasted my time over 3 different occasions "fixing" my work truck only to not fix it. It's a warrenty, chevy was paying to fix it, why do a cheap rig,....I'm not paying anything it's a work truck but I dont like my time wasted. Others I know won't agree with me on this but this is my opinion. I don't have time for incompetence from a "professional" shop with "techs" . I can guess at fixes myself....but not with that computer stuff.
Well I didnt buy it from that shop so I am thankful they worked on it and tried to fix it. I bought it from Baileys Online Christmas sale (Well my Wife did as a Christmas present) . I had to drive to this shop 30 minutes as two other closer Husqvarna Shops in my area wont work on a warranty saw unless you bought it from them.
Can they do that? I am not sure if their a dealer they can officially refuse warrenty work on their brand saw? MasterMech will I'm sure know the answer having worked at a dealer before...albeit the other flavor so it may be different with them.
Dealer I worked for was Husky and Stihl, and Homelite once upon a time. Anybody can refuse to work on any saw they want. Warranty or not. I'm sure Husqvarna would not like to hearing they have dealers out there turning away warranty work and truth be told, it's bad business for the dealer too. They get paid to do the work, maybe they don't control the price like they'd want but it's not a straight out-of-pocket expense either. There's some paper/'puter work involved and so it can be a bit of a PITA for a one or two man shop to undertake but if you are gonna hang a Husqvarna sign on your door.......
Got out and cut some bigger stuff with the Husqvarna 465 this weekend. It cut really well and I am glad I had it for a tree like this one, made short work of it. Saw ran great no problems.
