We may have another 3.5 months of burning left, but most of the worst is over. The worst wasn't all that bad this year.
Yet. Forecast is showing some pretty cold overnights through Feb. and part of March.
I think we'll use less than our normal average, but won't know for sure til we're actually done. Seem to be blowing through some wood since the end of January.
    No snow in PA?

    Works like a charm
Put my plow on early Jan and not one plowable snow, think we are at 1.5 inch total officially

    But I'm not complaining!

Well, the old saying is " 1/2 your wood & 1/2 your hay shall you have left on Candlemas day/groundhog's day. Burnt about 3 cord so far, got roughly 10 cord dry. Pretty decent winter so far, see no issue making it through.

2.5 cords burned so far. Very modest winter (if I even want to call it that... we have not even had a measurable snow yet). Started the season with 13 CSS, plus 1/4 cord of uglies, plus maybe another 1/3 cord or so of stuff not yet split. Methinks we OK! Hope everyone else is the same!

I am doing well on the wood front. Plenty of it dried out and stacked and ready to be burned. No sweat.

Burned a cord of wood and a ton of pellets so far. I have 90 bags of pellets and about a half cord of burnable wood left.

Wood stove goes from Friday evening until Monday morning and the pellet stove runs the rest of the time. I'll be out of wood soon and the pellet stove will go full time from then on.

I've got 3 cords of wood css for next year.

I have burnt maybe 1.5 cords, at most. I try to keep the stove going full tilt, but on days like today it is too much heat. I will probably burn three cords this winter. I have enough out back for four or five years at this rate.

I'm not even sure how much I've burned so far. And I haven't been keeping very close track.

Had some colder weather lately, so finally starting to go through some wood faster.

I think I have about 5 full cord left. Probably burned through 4 full cord so far. Started later this season.

Probably around 3 cords here. Really mild winter, only 1 big snow storm to make a mess. I'm getting a little behind at the house, need to get to my CSS at the farm 2 hours away and bring some loads back,

I wish I could see my second car, but it is buried. Walking the dog this morning, the snow varies from a few inches under some trees, to knee deep about everywhere, to my hips once when I broke through a deep spot. This evening I wore the snowshoes ...

The coldest we have recorded this winter is -16F, not extraordinary, but the number of nights in the single digits and below and days in the 20s and below have been more than usual.

So yeah, we are burning through our wood. I wish I would have brought more in from the stacks before winter set in, but that opportunity is long over. Next winter I will bring more in, there is penty out there, already CSS and seasoned - buried under the snow by the car.

But, we will make it fine. We have about half of our wood left. If somehow that gets lower than I want, we will start using the 1500W portable heaters to supplement.
